Proverbs 18:20-21 “From the fruit of his mouth a man’s belly is filled; with the harvest from his lips he is satisfied. Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit”.
Anytime you talk or say something you make a confession. It can be for good or for bad. Whatever the case may be, your words will be the source of your progress or retrogress in life nothing more nothing less.
The message translation puts Proverbs 18:21 like this “Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose”. Most Christians have missed it in this area. They talk wrongly, use the wrong words, make confessions that contradicts God’s plans and promises for their life and later blame God for their calamity.
In life what you keep saying has a great impact on your destiny. In fact, a clearer way to put it is that ‘your words create realities”. What you keep saying will manifest one day, positive or negative. Mark 11:23 says “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith”.
So making the wrong confessions about your health, marriage, life, finances, ministry and whatever you are into won’t serve your interest. On this principle making the right confession I can boldly say that aside the word of God and books that I have read, my association with the healing evangelist, Dr. Lawrence Tetteh has helped me greatly. When preparing for meetings, programs and other things that I am privileged to work together with him, his comments always brought hope and light. You will always hear him release words like it is getting better, we are getting there, and everything is fallen in place. These confessions always turn to be the case when all is said and done.
What are you confessing with your mouth? The saddest situation when it comes to confession is when you see, Christians who out of anger say bad things and release wrongs words. Never see your life different from the words you speak because when all is said and done. Your life will take the turn of your words.
Hebrews 11:3 says, “By faith we understood that the world was framed by the word of God“. Hold on to the confession of the word. Don’t say the wrong things out of emotions rather be guided by God’s word and let it frame your world- finances, health, education and all that pertains to you.
Talk well and your life will go well.
