Blessed beyond curse.

Deuteronomy 23:5 “Nevertheless the Lord thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the Lord thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the Lord thy God loved thee.”

Curses are real. They are released by words or evil incantations against people. Some are released through mediums and or cursed items.

The Bible teaches that sometimes curses comes because of something a person does.

Proverbs 26:2 says “Like the sparrow in her wandering, like the swallow in her flying, So the curse without cause does not come and alight [on the undeserving].” (AMP).

You can bring a curse on yourself by dealing treacherously with the Lord, and you can bring a curse on yourself by slacking in doing the work God has called you to do. Jeremiah 48:10 says “A curse on anyone who is lax in doing the Lord’s work! A curse on anyone who keeps their sword from bloodshed!”

Again, you can bring a curse on yourself by dishonouring your mother and father. Deuteronomy 27:16 “Cursed is anyone who dishonors their father or mother.” Then all the people shall say, “Amen!”

Putting all together, one can personally subject himself or herself to a curse by going contrary to God’s word.

Despite all these sources of curses, there are curses that people want to pronounce against God’s people. These are the curses we are considering in this study. The Bible teaches that such curses, cannot work against the child of God. Just like how Balak, hired Balaam to curse the children of God but was to no avail. That’s how it is with you as a child of God.

Curses people pronounce against you because of envy, hatred or whatever evil desires they have against you is dead on arrival.

Live with this consciousness that you are above and beyond any curse people will trow at you. Nonetheless, never also bring yourself under any curse by dealing treacherously with the Lord or sacred things.

Read: Numbers 23:23 “For there is no enchantment or omen against Jacob, Nor is there any divination against Israel. At the proper time it shall be said to Jacob And to Israel, what has God done!” (AMP)

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for elevating me to a place in you where people can’t curse me. I pray for revelation to live in subjection to your will and the wisdom not to also bring myself under any curse by disobedience.
