Prov 24:10 “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small”.
Life will not always to be a smooth sail from your point of take-off to the destination you have in mind. Truth, fact, reality and experience has revealed that life is full of challenges or unforeseen happenings.
These happenings most often than not brings adversity. Adversity here means a difficult or unpleasant situation. It can also mean tragedy. But whatever the case, the believer must not or should not be overwhelmed by these happenings. In Prov 24:10 “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small”. Thus, you must not faint in the day of tragedy, you must not faint in the day of difficulties, you must not faint when things don’t go well or as planned. That’s to say, stay strong and move on.
You see, the strength you need to stand in the difficult times is wisdom. In Prov 24:5 the bible says “A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength”. The source of your strength is wisdom. It is Christ who has been made the wisdom for you. Thus, in awkward moments you need to engage the wisdom of God in you rather than get emotional, saying things or acting unwisely.
With this truth that difficulties are likely to show up in life as you move on with your achievement build capacity to be strong. Remember, the stronger you are spiritually, mentally, morally, financially, character wise, the better.
Don’t stay a weakling or remain as a “baby christian” your whole life time. This will cost you dearly. Arm up, stay strong, win battles. Overcome challenges. But will all come after you have built capacity for it.
Read: Proverbs 24:1-10 “Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them. For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief. Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength. For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety. Wisdom is too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate. He that deviseth to do evil shall be called a mischievous person. The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men. If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small”.
Prayer: Father, I pray that your strength which you have deposited within me will come into full displace in difficult moments. I pray that the wisdom of God will always be my anchor in challenging times. Amen!
Wow….i will stay strong and win battles.
Bless you Sir
