And Jehoshaphat waxed great exceedingly; and he built in Judah castles, and cities of store.
Anytime you make room for extra, you carry more than enough of something for future usage or for precautionary proposes. When you have something in ” extra” it means that you have something supplementary to what is already present or available.
The wisdom of making room for something extra is clear from the parable of the ten virgins in the book of Mathew 25. The Bible talks about these ten virgins by putting them in two categories. One in the category of wise virgins and the other in the foolish category.
The Bible calls the first category as wise since these virgins made room for extra oil for the lamps they carried on a journey whiles the others did not.
But nothing gave a “red light” till they reached the point where their mission will be accomplished before they saw the devastating effect of their lack of extra oil.
Many people today are just like the five foolish virgins. They live and never make room for anything “extra” in life. But wisdom demands that you must sometimes carry more than enough if you want to go far with something or reach the end of your mission successfully.
Sometimes what you need to make it is some extra prayer, extra word study, extra giving to the things of God, extra holiness, extra savings and extra of something valuable.
Don’t waste all that you have today, also create room to store valuable things that will bring you to the end of your journey without struggle.
