It is impossible for God to lie.

Hebrews 6:18
“God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged”.

One truth that must settle in your heart as you walk with God is that, he can’t lie to you. This means that, any promise and every word from God to you is not a mistake, neither is it with the intention to deceive you.

Psalm 89:35, the Bible says “Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David”. When it comes to God, he deals with us no hidden intention to mislead. Meaning that you can depend on God’s word, you can trust his word against all odds or any happenings in your life.

Today, we have many believers who are on the verge of giving up in everything. Hardship, frustration and challenges are making them question their faith in God and also questioning the veracity of the word of the Lord. But never be carried away. God will also fulfill and bring to pass His word when you align yourself to His will for your life. In Jeremiah 1:12 the Lord said He is watching over His word to perform it.

When it comes to believing in what God have said, we have many who are wavering in their faith. Some have become like the Israelites that left Egypt, just as they contemplated of returning we also have some Christians who are thinking of going back to the world. In fact, others are also wondering whether what their pastors are saying is not a “cooked talk”. To some too this “Church thing” does not work because of one or two issues they see around.

But the truth is that God won’t lie to you. What He has said about you will stand sure when you believe and act on it. Don’t quit, don’t go back to the world because God is faithful and will perform.

HOLD ON, God says he CAN’T lie to you. There is hope for your future. Your plans, visions and hope are not dashed. May be you have a financial need, or you want God to intervene in a situation you are facing now. Cheer UP, the faithful one says he can’t lie to you.

Beloved God will DO IT. Remember Abraham, Daniel in the Lion’s den, Joseph in prison, and Jesus on the cross. It was like all hope is gone. But God showed up. He turned their situations around.

Wait on the Lord, never quit, YOUR TIME OF HEAVENLY TOUCH OF SURPRISE and blessing is now. Your testimony will be great. GOD will not lie to you.

Read: Numbers 23:19 “God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace to hold onto your word and any promise you have made until it’s time of fulfillment. Amen

WHAT CAN YOU DO ?

Mark 14:3
And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.

It is always important to know what ability you have and speedily put it to use, before it is too late. Because having an ability to do something today does not mean such an opportunity will exist forever. To some of the things you have to do,they have the hidden tag “now or never”.

We can see a perfect example about this in the Bible where a woman came to break an alabaster box of precious spikenard and poured it over the head of Jesus (Mark 14: 3). Although this art of worship and honour was done to Jesus, some people got offended and complained.
But Jesus expressed a contrary opinion from what some of his disciples said. To Jesus “she (the woman that poured the oil) has done what she could and have prepared his body for burial” (Mark 14:8). Jesus described the actions of the woman as good and beautiful (Mark 14:6).

You see, Jesus made us understood that the woman has done what she could. To him if for nothing, the woman has fulfilled purpose,by putting her ability and resources into use.
Though what the woman did was called a waste by some onlookers, she was praised by Jesus.

But it was not long after, Jesus died on the cross and was buried. Nonetheless, some of these same followers of Jesus came around to tomb to anoint His body. But guess what, Jesus has risen. In other words, they did not get the opportunity to do that. Their bottles of oil remained with them. It was no longer useful or needed.

Remember that, Jesus did not celebrate their intention though it was good. All that Jesus could have said will be “it is too late”. What can you do for God toady? What can you do for your parents today? What can you do for someone today? Do what you can! You don’t have forever to do what you can do.
Remember, time won’t wait for you.

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace not to miss any opportunity to do what I must do when I have the capacity. Amen

Do something about the future.

Proverbs 16:9
“A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps”

Any glorious future you expect won’t come to you by accident. You need to work out your way to the destination God has for you. When it comes to having a great future, God’s side is a done deal.

2 Peter 1: 3 says “For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through [a]true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence”
Therefore, what is now left is how you align yourself to divine guidance and also making wise decisions or choices.

You see, your future is always dependent on or affected by the decisions you keep making every now and then. What you do and what you don’t do has power to put you into your glorious destiny or bring you out of it.
This is to tell that, the future is not something that comes out of the blue. It is something you construct by following the leadings of the Holy Spirit and the application of the word of God.

Although many live with the deception that no matter what you do as a Christian God’s promise concerning your future will still come to pass, never succumb to this erroneous belief. Remember that you are a key player in the making of your future.
Always make God’s will for your life as a priority, and work towards it. Although things won’t become magnificent overnight, be patient and keep moving. It will always be precept upon precept, here a little and there a little and you will land on your glorious shore of greatness.

Prayer: Lord, I pray that you will help me construct a glorious future by leading me in decision making. Amen

God’s way

Psalms‬ ‭18:30
“As for God, his way is perfect: The word of Jehovah is tried; He is a shield unto all them that take refuge in him.”‬

God is a perfect God, and makes no mistakes in his dealings. The word of God is sure and does not fail.

In the above scripture, it says the word of Jehovah is tried, meaning the word of God has been tested and has proven to be true in all situations. Thus, we can rely on the word to turn around any negative situation.

You see, you can rely on the word of God for success in any endeavor. You can rely on the word for success in your marriage, business, education and career. You can also rely on it for protection against the schemes of the enemy.“The name of Jehovah is a strong tower; The righteous runneth into it, and is safe”(Proverbs‬ ‭18:10‬).

The word of God to you, wouldn’t fail, for God is watching over his word to perform. (Isaiah 55:11). The Lord will be your shield and refuge because you have chosen to trust in his word and he will perfect all that concerns you.

Read: Psalm 18:30 “As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him”

Prayer: Lord, I pray that your word will stand true and prevail in all my endeavors. Amen

Dont fall in the day of trouble

Isaiah 37:3
“They told him, This is what King Hezekiah says: Today is a day of trouble, insults, and disgrace. It is like when a child is ready to be born, but the mother has no strength to deliver the baby”

There are many situations or issues that you may be faced with in life. Some may be good whiles others may not. For instance there are times when you can have more than enough and there are times too when things may be scarce. In fact, there are days of peace and there are other days too when you may be faced with troubles. However, as believers God expects us to stand in the day of trouble and not to fall or give up.

The Bible actually reveals the causer of all troubles, the devil. He is our chief adversary in life.
1 Peter 5:8 says “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour”

A real example of a day of trouble is what we witness about the righteous man, Job.
In a single day, he lost his business, his family and his estate. As though these were not enough, his health also failed.
But in all these, the Bible says Job still stood strong and never turn against the Lord. In fact, against the advise of the wife for him to curse God, Job rather looked up to God in all these troubles. (Job 2:9)

You see, the Bible teaches us to stand and not fall in the day of trouble. Proverbs 24:10 says “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small”.

No matter the trouble that will come to you, whether in your finances, marriage, relationship, work, ministry, or health, remain firm and believe that God is able to see you through it.
In the day of trouble pray, search God’s word and make it your confession. Never despair but encourage yourself daily.

Be strong, be encouraged. Weeping, like trouble may endure for a night but your joy, breakthrough, miracle will come in the morning and it will stay forever.

Read: Romans 8:37
“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us”.

Prayer: Lord, I pray for more grace to stand firm in the day of trouble and difficulty. Amen

Don’t lose your purpose

Matthew 5:13
“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has lost its taste (purpose), how can it be made salty? It is no longer good for anything, but to be thrown out and walked on by people [when the walkways are wet and slippery].

One thing worth keeping in life is your reason for being. As a Christian you are not there for nothing and neither are you in life just for anything. In fact, you here on earth for a specific reason or purpose.

The Bible teaches that believers are the “salt” of the earth. Thus, their value is in the flavour or taste they give to things.
Meaning that when the salt, can’t or don’t bring any taste it is useless.
So you see, it is not just about being a “salt” but being able to make things tasty (fulfilling the purpose for your being).

You see, your value is very much determined by what you deliver. Not only that, you must fully live out your purpose by bringing out your worth just as the Lord requires of you.

Don’t be a salt, that can’t make anything tasty or function properly. Know that if you don’t live out what you are as a Christian you have lost your purpose.

Read: Matthew 5:13 “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men”

Prayer: Lord, I pray that I will not lose sight of the purpose for which I am on this earth. Amen

Avoid Complaining

Numbers 11:1
“And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord : and the Lord heard it ; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the Lord burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.”

It is easier to find fault with what other people do than finding fault on yourself. The sad truth is that, some people find satisfaction in making others feel bad so that they may look good in the sight of others. But this must not characterize the life of a Christian.

The Bibles says in James 5:9 that, “Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door”.

To grudge signifies groaning or murmuring. It also means to find fault or complain against someone or something.

Instead of murmuring against people, take it upon yourself to encourage one another and be more hospitable towards others. 1 Peter 4:9 says that “use hospitality one to another without grudging”.

Today people criticize and complain against the Church of God, preachers and anything that comes to their notice. They are quick to run their mouth regarding anything they hear about God’s people. But you must dare to be different.

You see, anytime you employ grudge as a tool against people, the devil gains advantage over you. You open up yourself for the demons to influence your life or even possess you. People who always find faults are never satisfied in life. They always generate reasons to complain about everything.

Groaning or holding grudge against people brings condemnation to you. In other words, you put yourself under divine judgment.
But if God condemns you, who can save you?

No matter what happens in life, don’t employ complaints, discontentment and fault finding as a weapon against others.

Read: Philippians 2:14,15
“Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.”

Prayer: Lord, I pray that you will deliver me from the spirit that makes people to criticize you and things related to you.

It shall be well

Isaiah 3:10
“Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him : for they shall eat the fruit of their doings”

There is nothing like a “hopeless case or situation” when God is involved. Although the happenings of life can sometimes make things go the awkward way, God’s word says “it shall be well” with the righteous.

When God says it shall be well, it means there is hope. It also means that, any happenings that is not to your favour will turn out for your good.
This is one reason why you must not give up in life.

Isaiah prophesied that, “it shall be well with the righteous and they shall eat the fruit of their doings”. So you see, there is no cause for alarm irrespective of what is happening to and around you. God will make all grace abound unto you. He will remember your labour of love, He will remember your sacrifice towards his name and perfect all that concerns you.

You see, if God says it shall be well with you, nothing can stop that manifestation. Believe it, confess it and abide in his word and there shall be a performance.

Read: Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end”

Prayer: Lord, I pray thinking you for the positive assurance regarding every situation I’m into. Amen

The spirit of Michal

2 Samuel 6:16
“And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul’s daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart“.

From our opening text, we see how Michal who was the wife of David, despised David in her heart because of his zeal and joy in the Lord. Therefore, the spirit of Michal is a spirit that despises the things of God.

To despise means to dislike and have a low opinion of someone or something because you think it’s worthless. Hence anytime the spirit of Michal is in operation, it tends to look down on the things of God.

In fact, it regards worship to God as a worthless act and a waste of time.

The danger is that, when you are being influenced by this spirit as a Christian, you begin to loose interest in spiritual activities.
Prayer doesn’t make sense to you anymore. You see no reason why you must worship and praise God. Reading the Bible seems worthless. In fact, you have total disregard even for pastors and servants of God.

You see, the spirit of Michal is another reason why people backslide and fall into apostasy. Sin becomes pleasurable to you and causes you to eventually abandon the faith.

Today, there are many people who despise the church of God. They regard believers as a group of fanatics and brain washed persons.
This “despisers” show contempt towards spiritual things and abhor anything that has a signature of righteousness.

Beware of despising “godly things or people”. It can bring a curses and damnation to you.
In the case of Michal she became barren. “Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death”. (2 Samuel 6:23)

Learn not to be familiar with the things of God, and don’t also despise things associated with God.

Read: Leviticus 26:15-16
And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant: I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

Prayer: Lord, I pray that I will not live to despise you nor anything that is related to you. Amen

Stand in awe and sin not

Psalm 4:4
“Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.”

The born again Christian has been freed and delivered from the power of sin. That means, sin has no power over the believer (Romans 6:14). The moment Christ became the Lord over your life, you entered into freedom (Galatians 5:1).

But now that you have been set free, it’s dependent on you to keep yourself from being under the bondage of sin.
You see, even though the devil will still try to extend his influence to sin over your life, you must decide not to yield.

Psalm 4:4 says, “Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.”
Standing in awe is one way to keep your freedom in the Lord. It means constantly walking in reverence to God. This “holy fear” will help you not to “make a practice of sinning”.

You see, living in sin as a Child of God, is one of the greatest dishonor to God.
Today, we have some believers who take God for granted. They lie, steal, cheat, get involved in immoral stuffs and still “take things cool” as if nothing has happened.

But the Bible says, ‘stand in awe”. Have reverence for God. Don’t treat God’s sacred temple which is your body with contempt. In other words, don’t corrupt yourself.

Remember that, nothing but a fiery judgment is what awaits anyone who takes “grace” for granted and uses it as a license to sin.

Refuse to bring yourself under any wrong and satanic influence.
Walk in the new life and fight any attempt of the enemy to influence your life to sin.

Read: 1 John 3:8-9 “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God”

Prayer: Lord, I pray that I will not use grace as a license to sin and to also take you for granted. Amen
