“Now Naaman was commander of the army of the king of Aram. He was a great man in the sight of his master and highly regarded, because through him the Lord had given victory to Aram. He was a valiant soldier, but he had leprosy. Now bands of raiders from Aram had gone out and had taken captive a young girl from Israel, and she served Naaman’s wife. She said to her mistress, “If only my master would see the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy”
It is an indisputable that in life we have persons with different statuses. Some people are highly educated, others are not, some are wealthy, others are not, some are anointed and graced uniquely more than others, etc. This general fact notwithstanding, God can decide to use any of these persons of different social or spiritual standing to help the believer.
Our opening text in 2 Kings 5 tells how a general of an army, Naaman, was helped by a young girl serving as a maid in his house. Naaman was a valiant soldier and commander of Aram, and God used him to bring victory to his country, however, he had leprosy. But it took the young slave girl in his house for him to get connected to the prophet Elisha to be healed.
You see, despite Naaman’s rank and authority he listened and obeyed the word of the slave girl. He never despised what he was told because the “young lady” was not of a higher status. When all was said and done, Naaman was made whole of his leprosy (2 Kings 5:14).
The great deliverance of Naaman came by the help a young girl without any great status gave. This is one truth and wisdom that must guide your life. Don’t always think that your help will come from great persons. Somethings, the people that holds the key to your miracle, are the very people you despise, disrespect, disregard, and you are proud towards. Be wise!
Learn greatly from this Rhema. Sometimes it will take a “little” person to connect you to the miracle you have been praying and fasting for. The question is, “when God uses a little person to deliver your package, will you be humble and respectful enough to receiveit” or “your arrogance and pride” will make you forfeit it.
Read: 2 Corinthians 5:16 “Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more”
Prayer: Lord, give me the grace and wisdom not to judge people by their status in life
