You determine your own harvest

Genesis 8:22 “as long as the earth remains, seedtime and harvest will not cease.”

As a believer, your life is characterised by the principle of sowing and reaping.  In fact, a simple knowledge in agriculture reveals that your harvest depends on the seed sowed. There is no two ways about it. What you will see and experience in life will always be a direct product of what you have sowed.

2 Corinthians 9:6 says “But this I say,He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully”

On this same subject, the Bible says “God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows” For whatever a man sows so shall he reap. (Galatians 6:7).  Every good harvest of good fruits you see was preceded by sowing good seeds.

You see, having a big harvest or a great results in life means that you sowed that much. God is always faithful to ensure that when you put in so much at something, you will have a great reward.

This is the principle that must guide all that you do in life. You can’t expect so much in life whiles your input or seed is so little. It does not work that way. Although seeds sown or investments don’t give an immediate return they surely show up. Just like a vision, its manifestation is set unto an appointed time.

Friend, never slack when it comes to sowing seeds or investing in things that are worthwhile. It has the power to make your future glorious.

In whatever area of your life you want see a change, start sowing the right seeds. Nurse it with the appropriate actions. And you will laugh your way to goodness. Never sow wrong seeds, it may cost you a lot. You can loose your glorious place in life. People who sow wrong seeds, later live to regret the harvest that befalls them. Remember that the best time to work your way to excellence is now.

Read: Psalm 126:6 “Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves”.

Prayer: God, I pray that every harvest due me, my family and ministry will be released now in the name of Jesus. Amen!

Miracles still happen

Job 5:8-9“But if I were you, I would appeal to God; I would lay my cause before him. He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.”

Miracles are real. You can experience one in life. Miracles are not meant for some special people. Every Child of God can key in into the miracle working power of God to experience wonderful things in life.

A miracle is a supernatural happening. It is about God releasing His grace and power in the natural to do what is humanly impossible for his children. That is why MIRACLES don’t make “sense” in the natural. Yet its results are undeniable.

You see, you can still experience or have miracles all round in your life. You can receive a miracle in your health, you can receive a miracle in your finances, you can receive a miracle in your education, you can receive a miracle in your relationship and marriage and in your family. Only believe!

Many folks are disappointed in life today because they depended on men for their elevation. But you see,God does not disappoint. David with his few days on earth said he had never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging for bread, that is to say that God always delivers his children from shame. I know you have expected God to show up for long, but the key to your victory is just to BELIEVE. Depending on men for miracle will lead you nowhere because man at a point gets limited. Jesus cautioned Martha to believe in order to see the Glory of God.

Be encouraged and believe because all things will work for your good. Daniel was delivered from the lion’s den, Lazarus was raised from the realm of death after four days, and Hannah had a MIRACLE son after many years. It does not matter the years of the troubles you may have faced. Believe and you will see God’s glory. Know that God is STILL in the MIRACLE MOVE. Get prepared for a miracle! Because this our God and father is too good!

Read: Isaiah 43:19″Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert”. Get ready for a new thing from God”.

Prayer: Father, I believe you are a miracle working God. Let there be a strange miracle over my life, family and ministry. In Jesus name, Amen!

Walk with God

Genesis 5:24 “Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away”

One great privilege we have as Christians is the opportunity to have a fellowship with our maker and father. God in his great mercy and love receives us as his own beloved children.

Corinthians 6:16 reads “God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people”.Thus for us to walk with the father, it is a great door or opportunity that God has made available for us. It is not of us.Having this understanding will make you appreciate that, walking with God is something not to be taken lightly.

Walking with the Lord, involves agreeing with his word on every matter and doing his bidding. It also involves having a constant fellowship with Him in prayer and the word. Anytime you take this opportunity to walk with the father you set your mind on what God says and does.

Those who walk with God, see and talk like him. The Bible says two people can only walk together by agreement. Meaning that, to WALK with God you must accept and agree with his Word. That was the realm Enoch got to. He had a very close relationship with the Lord till he was no longer needed here.

In fact, he was more of a friend of God than a friend to any other person on earth. This is how your relationship with God must be like.

Another attribute we learn in Enoch’s walk with God was faithfulness.Enoch was firm, decisive, and loyal in the walk with God. He never gave room for turning back. His trust was unshakable.

God expects nothing different from you and I. Start to WALK with the Lord. He will indeed share his glory on your way.

Read: Colossians 2:6“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him.”

Prayer: Lord, I pray that I will walk with you in all sincerity and honesty all the days of my life. In Jesus name, Amen!

Avoid worldly pleasures

1 Peter 2:11 “Beloved, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from the desires of the flesh, which war against your soul”

There is a fight to fight for your soul as a Christian. Inasmuch as your spirit is saved, that is not so with your soul. Your soul is being saved. It takes a great and a conscious effort by yourself to keep your soul intact from corruption. This is simply by avoiding worldly pleasures.

Nothing contends negatively with your soul like worldly pleasures. The bible says it “wars against” the soul. They cause the believer not to settle in life. If you allow worldly pleasures to govern your life, it will deaden your spiritual life.

Moses stood out tall in his days and became a mighty man God used because he knew how to avoid pleasures of the world. Hebrews 11:25 says, “he (Moses) chose to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season”.

You must know that no one can have a very successful life by being carnal or subjecting his life to worldly pleasures. Romans 8:6-7 “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be”

No matter what pleasures or happiness you get from ungodly living, it is for a season and after that you will be handed over to calamity. Stand out for the Lord and dare to be different. Wild parties that end in drunkenness with the display of nudity in this generation, sexual immorality, and the vices we see today is not from the Lord. Have nothing to do with these vanity fairs. It will only corrupt your sanctity.

Fashion, fame, and riches will fade and pass away, but those who walk with God in the highway of holiness will manifest his glory. Don’t be deceived, there is nothing good outside God. If what you want and have is outside the will of God, it will destroy you at the end. Stand out, and look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.

Read: Hebrews 11:24-26 “By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward”.

Prayer: Lord, I pray that every hidden desire for worldly pleasure inside of me will be dealt with by its roots. In Jesus name, Amen!

Using the name of Jesus

Philippians 2:10 “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth”

The name of Jesus is a great weapon in the hands of the believer. It can be used for both constructive and destructive purpose. You can use the name to lay hold on God’s promises for your life and you can use the name to undo or rebuke any works of darkness organized against you.

Believers must come to the place to know that the name of Jesus is more than a mere religious jargon. It is not also just a name like names people bear in life. It is a heavenly given name. It is a name that has defeated the enemy and is recognized in all the heavens. Philippians 2:9-10, says that “therefore God also has highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow…”

Anytime we mention the name of “Jesus” in faith, the power in the name stands for our cause. In Mark 16 the bible enumerates the things that can be accomplished through the name of Jesus.  Mark 16:17-18 “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

These are awesome victories through the name. In the name, devils will be cast out, in the name there is security and protection, and in the name the sick can be healed.

You see, the power in the name gets things done for us. The sick gets healed, the lame walks, and the blind see. No matter what the circumstances may be, we have a divine antidote. It is the name of Jesus. It quenches all forces of darkness and causes us to triumph. Start declaring the name of Jesus in faith over all that concerns you and the power in the name will put things right.

Read: Acts 3:6-7 “Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength”

Prayer: Father, I pray that at the usage of the name JESUS, miracles, signs and wonders will take place. In Jesus name, Amen!

Make the right confessions

Proverbs 18:20-21 “From the fruit of his mouth a man’s belly is filled; with the harvest from his lips he is satisfied. Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit”.

Anytime you talk or say something you make a confession. It can be for good or for bad. Whatever the case may be, your words will be the source of your progress or retrogress in life nothing more nothing less.

The message translation puts Proverbs 18:21 like this “Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose”.  Most Christians have missed it in this area. They talk wrongly, use the wrong words, make confessions that contradicts God’s plans and promises for their life and later blame God for their calamity.

In life what you keep saying has a great impact on your destiny. In fact, a clearer way to put it is that ‘your words create realities”. What you keep saying will manifest one day, positive or negative. Mark 11:23 says “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith”.

So making the wrong confessions about your health, marriage, life, finances, ministry and whatever you are into won’t serve your interest. On this principle making the right confession I can boldly say that aside the word of God and books that I have read, my association with the healing evangelist, Dr. Lawrence Tetteh has helped me greatly. When preparing for meetings, programs and other things that I am privileged to work together with him, his comments always brought hope and light. You will always hear him release words like it is getting better, we are getting there, and everything is fallen in place. These confessions always turn to be the case when all is said and done.

What are you confessing with your mouth? The saddest situation when it comes to confession is when you see, Christians who out of anger say bad things and release wrongs words. Never see your life different from the words you speak because when all is said and done. Your life will take the turn of your words.

Hebrews 11:3 says, “By faith we understood that the world was framed by the word of God”. Hold on to the confession of the word. Don’t say the wrong things out of emotions rather be guided by God’s word and let it frame your world- finances, health, education and all that pertains to

Talk well and your life will go well.

Read: Mark 11:23 says “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith”.

Prayer: Lord, I pray that my mouth will always confess positive things. In Jesus name, Amen!

Angels are on your side

Hebrews 11:4 “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?”

The teaching on the importance of angels can’t be overemphasized. Throughout scripture we have seen how angels have stood on the side of the people of God for victories in times of battle, for protection, for guidance, and for deliverances in many ways.

In their journey through the wilderness God made known how He will bring his people to the promise land through the ministry of angels. See Exodus 23:20 “Behold, I am going to send an angel before you to guard you along the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared”.

Daniel 6:22 also records how God delivered his faithful servant Daniel from the mouths of lions. “My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths and they have not harmed me, in as much as I was found innocent before Him; and also toward you, O king, I have committed no crime”

Also when Abraham sent Eliezer of Damascus to get a wife for his son Isaac in a land he had never been before, it took angelic intervention for the mission to be accomplished. Genesis 24:40 “He said to me, ‘The Lord, before whom I have walked, will send His angel with you to make your journey successful, and you will take a wife for my son from my relatives and from my father’s house

Psalm 91:11 says “For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways” Psalm 34:7 says “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them”

The Bible says that, angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will be born again. It is important to know that the angels of God minister to us who are believers. Thus, they are with you to ensure that you “land safe” in your “promise land”. When you get born again you enter into another realm of life. It is called the innumerable company of angels. Hebrews 12:22-24 says, “But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable COMPANY OF ANGELS, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect…”where you are now as a Christian is more powerful and a more secured place.

As you walk with the Lord, as you pray, as you fast, may the Lord’s angel’s minister to you in diverse ways.

Read: Psalm 34:7 “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them”

Prayer: Father, I pray that your angels which you have assigned over my life will forever work to my advantage. In Jesus name, Amen!

Don’t live in unbelief

Mark 9:23-24 “Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”

Unbelief never rewards in our walk with God. It actually hinders what God can do with us, for us and through us. Anytime unbelief is at work, it discredits what God’s word says and amplifies fears and lying vanities from the pit of hell.

Jesus was about to help a man whose son had a mute spirit. But the terms and conditions was for the man to believe. Mark 9:23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes. You see, everything and any anything is possible if you believe. Thus the one shortest way to truncate your miracle, breakthrough, divine intervention is by unbelief.

People who operate in and with unbelief are not fully persuaded that God will fulfill his word in their life. They don’t trust the reliability, authenticity, genuineness or veracity of God’s word. For some even though God has said he will not leave us or forsake us, it means so little to them (Hebrews 13:5).

Unbelief has caused many to lose their place in life because they did not mix the word with faith. What is the essence of being in Church and not trusting him? One song writer said “Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, Just to take Him at His Word; Just to rest upon His promise, Just to know, “Thus saith the Lord!”

You see, it is always sweet to trust in Jesus. Take him at his word and you will make it. Believe his word for your health, believe his word for your marriage, believe his word for your finances, and believe his word for your ministry and awesome things will happen.

Don’t let unbelief take you out of your covenant blessings as a Child of God. May the Lord help you to keep faith in all the changing scenes of your life.

Read: Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”

Prayer: Father, I pray that I will not live a life of unbelief but rather a life of believe, faith and trust in God. In Jesus name, Amen!

Do it quickly

John 13:27 “…What you are about to do, do quickly”

When it comes to getting results in life it is about getting things done. Not just doing things, but also doing them at the right time. Most Christians have remained in the clutches of poverty, stagnation, failure and in undignified lives because of not doing things when they ought to.

There are many people today who are masters of “slow down” and “slow motion”. They never work hard and smart on things they have to do. In fact, they get themselves occupied with frivolous things and other unproductive engagements.

You see, when purpose and vision is revealed, you must not drag your feet when it is time to execute the mandate or the assigned task. Delays will not serve your interest or make you successful when it is time for the execution of a mandate.

Judas was about to betray Jesus for him to be crucified, but Jesus’ admonishment to him is somewhat strange. He told Judas to carry on quickly. He never told him to slow down or become nonchalant.

When it comes to having success in your endeavors you can’t downplay on factors like accuracy, precision of vision, wisdom and knowledge. But all these factors must be harnessed through “speed” or “acting quickly”

On acting quickly in Acts 12:7 the bible says “And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon [him], and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from [his] hands”. For Peter to be delivered from the prison after prayers he needed to act quickly.

In Acts 22:18, Paul tells how he had to move out quickly from Jerusalem to the Lord’s biddings. Never pride in being slow in life. Some ignorantly even attribute this their personality type by saying I am a “phlegmatic”. Well success in life does not happen by such statements.

Add speed to your study, add speed to the process of enhancing your character, add speed to obeying God’s call on your life, add speed to translating your relationship into marriage, add speed to career life and God’s grace will perfect things. Remember, if you engage delays, it will also do so to you.

Get something done now! You don’t have all the years at your disposal.

Read: Proverbs 12:24 “The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute”

Prayer: Father, I pray that whatever my hands find doing will be done with speed. In Jesus name, Amen!

Cultivate the attitude of being grateful

2 Chronicles 32:25 “But the sign, instead of making Hezekiah grateful, made him arrogant. This made God angry, and his anger spilled over on Judah and Jerusalem”

To be grateful simply means you show appreciation for something done for you or something you have received. In 2 Chronicles 32, the bible talks about how Sennacherib king of Assyria came and entered into Judah, and encamped against the fenced cities, and thought to win them for himself and how GOD saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all other, and guided them on every side.

Nonetheless, this great act of mercy and love from the Lord to Hezekiah was taken lightly. The bible says “But the sign, instead of making Hezekiah grateful, made him arrogant. This made God angry, and his anger spilled over on Judah and Jerusalem”

Hezekiah was never grateful to the Lord for delivering him and guiding them on every side. This act of ingratitude or ungratefulness did not please the Lord. Hezekiah lost God’s favour in this matter.

This same truth happens in life. We have people today who don’t value the need to be grateful. In fact, they take God and people for granted. Their “world” is void of thank you or any meaningful appreciation. There are people who don’t see the need to thank God for his goodness and mercies towards them. There are people who don’t see the need to appreciate those that God used to make them better people in life today. Some wives today are ungrateful because they have forgotten that it took divine intervention for them to marry. Also, some pastors have forgotten that it took someone to launch them into the ministry, some children today have also forgotten about their parents who toiled night and day to raise them.

You see, no matter where you get to in life, don’t forget to be grateful. In fact, you can’t say thank you enough to God, and there are some people also in your life that you must forever be grateful to for their indelible impact on your life.

Remember! Don’t forget the awesome things done for you. Like how my brother, Pastor Albert Nii Nortey Dowuona once preached from Bishop Dag Heward Mill’s book titled “those who remember” don’t toss nostalgic memorabilia. Keep the memories of things done for you. Keep the pictures! Keep the monuments! Keep the things that will make you say thank you always.

Read: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you”

Prayer: Father, I pray that I will cultivate the attitude of been grateful all the days of my life. In Jesus name, Amen!
