Romans 12:12 “Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer”
Hope is an important element in our walk with God and in life. Without hope many people will give up as they may not see the need to move on in life.
In the exercise of hope, the Bible says it must be done joyfully. Romans 12:12 says “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer”. One version, says “be cheerfully expectant…”. That is to say, your hope won’t help that much when it is characterised with complaints, nagging and in sadness.
The Bible says be joyful in the hope. So if you are expectant of something turning out positive in your life, you must develop a positive attitude in the process.
There is no need to be moody or depressed when you are in hope. The Bible says, God is a God of hope. Thus, He will never disappoint his children who turn to him in hope. Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promises” (AMP).
Never be in despair when things don’t turn out the way you expect. Keep your hopes alive. Your hope will enhance your faith and it will definitely bring a better outcome.
