RHEMA From Heaven

Faith is very important to every child of God. Faith forms the basis for our convictions and all that we do in life. Nonetheless, your faith can either be wrong or right. The right kind of faith is important because having faith in the wrong thing will deny you of results.

First and foremost, for faith to work, you must make sure your faith is in the right person; that is God.
Mark 11:22 reads “Jesus replied, Have faith in God [constantly]”
When your faith is not in God, you have missed it, right from the word go.
Don’t put your faith in the wisdom of men. It will fail. 1 Corinthians 2:5
“So that your faith would not rest on the wisdom and rhetoric of men
…”. Thus, there is no point in putting your faith, either for healing, salvation or deliverance or what have you in man.

Secondly for you to have the right kind of faith, your faith must be in the word of God and not man’s wisdom or man’s wishes. The Bible is God’s word, hence having faith in God’s word means accepting what the Bible says, whether you read it directly or it’s preached to you by a pastor.
You must have faith that God is able to do all that he says he will do. You must therefore conclude on every situation that “the Bible has said it, I believe it and that settles it”

Finally, you must rest your faith on God’s power. It is shocking how people can believe in the power of the devil as the source of their problems, yet cannot believe in the power of God to do undo the works of the devil.
Having faith in the power of God means that you are fully persuaded that God can and will do what he says.

Engage these three principles and your faith will always work.

Study: Hebrews 11:1-6

Most often than not, people look down on small things, especially small beginnings.
Nonetheless, life reveals how great things were birthed from small or insignificant beginnings.
For instance by just planting a corn, one can get an undeniable harvest of lots of maize.

Starting small in life does not mean you can’t arrive at a glorious end. It will just be a matter of time and process. But at the end, God will show himself mighty if you remain faithful and focused on what you are doing.

You see, any promise of God for your life will see the days of little beginnings. It may seem like you are not getting any positive results. But that is far from the truth. For when the clouds be full of rain, (after gathering little by little), it shall empty itself on the earth (Ecclesiastes 11:3).

God says you are prosperous, but you won’t start from a million dollar account. God says he will bless your ministry, but you won’t start from a thousand member church. All will be little by little. Don’t depise these small beginnings, because the word of God will surely speak at the end.

Whatever God has said about you will surely come to pass without fail. Hold on to your small beginnings, greatness is on the way.

Read: Job 8:7
“Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase”.

Study: Isaiah 60:22

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9

The first thing to know about fear is it’s source. Fear is from the devil and not from God.
The devil, our chief adversary, uses fear as a snare to keep people out of God’s purpose for their lives.

You must understand that fear is not your portion as a child of God. Romans 8:15 says: “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father”.

Although the Bible talks about a godly fear that must fill the heart of the believer, this kind of fear is nothing more than a deep reverence and love towards God.
Hebrews 12:28 says;
‘Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear”.

You see, fear that comes from the devil has one basic assignment, that is to torment your soul.
See 1 John 4:18;
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment…”

Fear has brought people many sorrows and hurts in life. Not only that, it has crippled many God given visions and assignments.

But as you read this message, it’s time to rise from the ashes of fear into God’s power and love that is inherent in you.

Read: 2 Timothy 1:7
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind”.

Study: Isaiah 43:1-7

Mark 11:25 says “And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses”.

Although prayer is important and it always produces tremendous results, you can make your prayers unfruitful by unforgiveness.
You see, you have no business praying when you hold things against people in your heart.

If you want to pray and to see results you must learn to walk in love, and never keep offenses. Unforgiveness will not put your heart right before God.
Mark 11:25 says “And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses”.

Don’t keep hurts and offenses if you want your prayers to be heard. There are many people today who have missed it in this area. They pray, spin and whine and whey results are not forth coming they blame God.
But you can’t be disobedient to God’s word and still demand God to work on your behalf.

Your prayers can bring awesome things, but first put your heart right before God by forgiving one another.

Love one another, forgive one another and never hinder your prayers.

Read: Mark 11:25 “Whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him [drop the issue, let it go], so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions and wrongdoings [against Him and others].”

Study: Mathew 6:12

A Christian is anyone who believes in the Lordship of Christ Jesus or someone who has yielded his entire being to God.
But being a Christian or a believer does not mean that you are filled with the word of God or every virtue in life.

Being filled with the word of God, the Spirit or virtues, takes discipline, desire and work. Thus, if you do nothing about this as a Christian, you may surely be an “empty Christian”.

Believers that are empty become preys to the devil or evil spirits. Being saved without being filled with the word of God and the Spirit will make you fall easy to the influence of demons (Matthew 12:43-45).

This is why you need to be “filled” as a Christian to rise above any demonic influence in this world. Colossians 3:16; says “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord”.
Ephesians 5:18 also says “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit”.

Never remain empty as a Christian. Feed on the word, desire and pray to be filled with the Spirit.
This is the sure way to avoid demons reigning over you in this sin doomed and devil infested world.

Read: Colossians 1:9
“…to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding”.

Study: Ephesians 3:14-21

“That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises” (Hebrews 6:12).
Being patient in life is one key virtue that makes you see the glory of God. Although many have run out of patience in these last days, never give in to that. Patience is still a virtue worth exercising.

To be patient means to be able to remain calm and not become annoyed when waiting for a long time or when dealing with problems or difficult people.

One truth is that, patience will cause you to see God’s glory.
Never follow any ungodly “fast forward” schemes of the devil. When walking with God, there is no faster way to reach your destination. In fact, with God you can make it rather earlier than you can ever think of.
Remember that, God is more interested in bringing you to a successful end than any other person.

God’s promises to you is not too late. He will come through for you to make all things beautiful.
Don’t rush ahead of God’s promise, neither agree with the devils deceit that “God is slow”.
See 2 Peter 3:9; “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward…”

God is always quick to perform at the right time. If your request and prayer seem to delay, always depend on God’s word and take comfort in waiting, knowing that in His time, He makes all things beautifull.

The Bible says,
“Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste”. (Isaiah 28:16)
Another scripture also says;
“Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit”. (Ecclesiastes 7:8)
Exercise patience!

Read: Habakkuk 2:3
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry”.

Study: Romans 15:4-5

The impartation of the Holy Spirit is very important to every believer. To impart means to give or transfer a special quality to something or someone.
When you are imparted, spiritual virtues is transferred to you by the one that does the impartation, by the medium of the spirit. There are many instances where God used impartation to bring about a desired transformation in the lives of people.

Nonetheless, receiving an impartation is not beyond your reach.
You can receive an impartation by listening to your pastor or man of God.
See Ezekiel 2:2;
“And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me”.
The words spoken to you by pastors carry virtues and power. That is why you must not take the words of your pastor for granted. You must open your heart to the word preached and taught by your pastor since it is one sure way to catch an anointing or be imparted.

On this same subject Jesus said in John 6:63 that, “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life”.

You can also be imparted by the laying on of hands.
Deuteronomy 34:9 says “And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him…”

You see, one thing you must understand is that, anytime you listen to your pastor or hands are laid upon you, you receive an impartation of spiritual virtues, gifts and anointing that make you an effective Christian.
Don’t miss your chance to be imparted in any way.

Value the laying on of hands, also value the Word your pastor preaches, keep listening to it every now and then and you will be blessed.

Read: 1 Timothy 4:14
“Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery”.

Study: Acts 8:5-21

Society by itself has structured out things that determines your joy and happiness. These include having food, clothes, shelter, job, marriage etc, therefore the absence of these automatically gets you into worrying about your life and even looking down on yourself.

But Jesus wanting to teach us against such said in Matthew 6:25;
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?”

You see, nothing is supposed to get you worried in life.
To be worried means to be in a state of mental distress or agitation resulting from concern usually for something impending or anticipated.

You must know that worry is not from God, if not He won’t ask you not to engage in it. It is a device of the enemy, programmed to make you fearful, sorrowful and anxious in life. Anytime you engage in worrying, you are allowing the devil to rob you of your joy in Christ.

Worrying also a spirit. Excessive worrying leads to heaviness of heart.
See Isaiah 61:3;
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness…”

You must get rid of all heaviness from your heart in order to flow freely to wherever God wants you to be. When you are heavy in heart, you can’t think right to make right decision in life. This will get you stuck in one place for long time.

You must not take worrying lightly at all. Fight it out just as you would fight against any sin. Deal with it as you would with adultery or lasciviousness.

Always remember that, God wants you free from worrying and reasoning.

Read: Philippians 4:6
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done”.

Study: Matthew 6:25-33

Proverbs 11:30 says “The fruit of the [consistently] righteous is a tree of life, And he who is wise captures and wins souls [for God-he gathers them for eternity]”.
One way to display wisdom as a child of God is to be a soul winner.

Soul winning is the greatest responsibility of the believer and God’s charge to every believer. Mathew 28:19 says “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”. Mark 16:15 also says “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature”. You have a duty as a Christian to make disciples.

Because of this charge you must not hesitate to share the Gospel to the lost. You must also never be ashamed of sharing your faith.(Romans 1:16).

You see, the world is in need of the gospel like never before. This sin and devil ruled world needs the word that saves, heals, restores, protects, empowers and gives people an eternal resting place.

As a child of God you are the solution to the problems of this evil world. This is why you must do everything in your capacity to spread abroad the gospel.

Beloved, don’t have the message that can save a lot of people and still sit down like there is nothing at stake? As you read this message, multitudes are descending to hell because they have died without knowing the Lord. Others are making serious mistakes that can cause them to lose Heaven. Be a soul winner today and forever. Hearken to the master’s call, and save someone.

Study: Mathew 2818-20

Two important things that matters in how we deal with people is how we speak and how we react or express our anger.
Failure in these two critical areas can destroy relationships and hinder you from the path of success.

You see, it is a display of great wisdom when you speak well and also delay or decline from anger. Nothing can better show your spiritual maturity than this, that is, how you speak or display anger.

James 1:19 says; “Understand this, my beloved brothers and sisters. Let everyone be quick to hear [be a careful, thoughtful listener], slow to speak [a speaker of carefully chosen words and], slow to anger [patient, reflective, forgiving]”.

Being slow to speak, has to do with chosing your words carefully when talking with people. Just as the Bible admonishes that, our words must be seasoned with salt and it must minister grace to our hearers.

See Colossians 4:6 “Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man” and Ephesians 4:29 “Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them”.

Being slow to anger also means that you don’t express your strong feeling of being upset at the slightest confrontation. As a believer, you must be a master of your emotions. In fact, you must be Spirit led and not fleshly led.

You must not allow your emotions to guide your actions. Don’t be a “reactive” person in life. Although people may sometimes go overboard when dealing with them, exercise your spirituality and wisdom by choosing not to act hastily or in an ungodly manner.
Ecclesiastes 7:9 says that; “Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools”.

Learn to control your words and your emotions in terms of being angry.

Read: Proverbs 16:32 “He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.”
