YOU ARE GOD’S WORKMANSHIP.

Ephesians 2:10
“For we are His workmanship [His own masterwork, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].”

One of the things people struggle with in life is identity. More often than not, some Christians define their lives only from the natural standpoint. But this ought not to be so.

You must learn to know who you are, not only from a biological or societal perspective but also from God’s perspective. When you limit your identity to who you are in the natural, you may fail to develop a positive self-image, especially in this challenging world.

As a Christian, know that the Bible says, “we are God’s masterpiece or workmanship.” Thus, you are not merely a “product of your parents and the society you find yourself in.” You are first and foremost a person created in the image of God with unique abilities and qualities.

It is out of place to see yourself as “nothing,” “an accident,” or “a victim of circumstance.” Never, for once, use your background to judge your identity and capabilities. You are the reason for Jesus’ coming to earth—think of it. You are a planned product of God.

Break off the limits!
It’s time to rise and shine. In your ministry, education, family, career, and finances, make a mark. You are God’s excellence in manifestation. Praise God!

Read: Philippians 4:13: “For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.”

Prayer: Father, I thank You for making me Your masterpiece. Help me to walk in the good works You have prepared for me. May I rise and shine for Your glory. Amen.

WAIT FOR GOD’S BEST

Ecclesiastes 3:11
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”

One of the wisest things to do as a Christian is to wait for God’s best for your life. Life, in general, is about seasons. Someone’s season may come early, while others may experience theirs later in life. Despite this, God’s best for each of us as Christians is certain.

God will not withhold anything good from you. Psalm 84:11 says: “For the LORD God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The LORD will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.” Just learn how to wait for God’s best.

Never, for one moment, think that God has denied you or will let you down. Yes, in your mind, you may think that God has delayed, but that notwithstanding—He will show up at the right time with your blessings.

Know that those who wait for God’s best enter into “rest.” Fully trust His Word to work in every situation of your life. Never rush or go ahead of God. In His time, God’s Word “works” and brings glorious manifestations.

Your time will surely come, so don’t walk through life depressed or with your head down.

Read: Isaiah 55:9-11: “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”

Prayer: Lord, I trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing Word. Help me to wait patiently for Your best and walk in the assurance that You will bring all things to fruition in due season. Amen.

ENCOURAGE YOURSELF IN THE LORD.

1 Samuel 30:6
“And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.”

One great antidote you need in times of crisis is encouragement. Whether it comes from others or yourself, it is something you can’t downplay.
You see, some situations in life can be very troubling. Sometimes, dealing with them feels nearly impossible.

At some point in life, you may face the loss of a loved one, family crises, debts, failure, rejection, or betrayal. All these situations call for encouragement.
The Bible tells how David and his men were robbed of their livelihood in Ziklag by the Amalekites. The Amalekites burned their homes and took their women captive (1 Samuel 30).

This devastating event, coupled with assassination threats against David, was enough to bring anyone to their wits’ end. David’s men gave up in the crisis and attempted to vent their frustration on him. However, the Bible says, “David encouraged himself in the Lord.”

You see, there comes a time in life when it takes the wheel of encouragement to move forward. That’s why one of the most glorious ministries of the Holy Spirit is Comfort. David had to overcome discouragement to live long enough to become the person God intended—a king.
It is time to take a stand and declare, “I am going to make it!” Don’t give up your courage. Just like David, if your courage is in the Lord, your security is guaranteed!

Read: Psalm 91:2: “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.” So, we may boldly say, “The Lord is my help!”

Prayer: Lord, I receive Your strength and encouragement. Help me to stand firm and trust in You through every challenge. Amen.

HEARKN TO THE LORD.

Isaiah 48:17
“This is what the LORD says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: ‘I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.’”

There are things God does for us as Christians to make our journey in life successful. Our opening text reveals that God teaches us and directs us. This great input from the Lord requires our attention and adherence.

Beloved, being a Christian demands that you develop a listening ear and a yielding heart. Never live the Christian life in arrogance or pride—it will bring you down in no time. Your success as a Christian depends on how yielding you are to the “leadings of the Lord.”

You see, although we live in the natural world, there is a spiritual dimension to life. Our success or victory over challenges depends on how we hear the Lord—His plans, directions, warnings, and instructions.
In Isaiah 46:10, the Bible says: “I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’” (NIV).

Beloved, be eager to obey the leadings of the Lord, whether they come through inspiration from the Spirit, revelation from God’s Word, or your man of God.
As you journey with the Lord, learn to follow the teachings you receive from the Word. Apply its principles, and you will move from glory to glory.

Read: Romans 8:14: “For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.”

Prayer: Lord, teach me to hear and obey Your voice. Lead me in the path You have set for me. Amen.

ACKNOWLEDGE THE GRACE OF GOD.

1 Corinthians 15:10
“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me”

The Grace of God makes men. We are saved by grace, and we are sustained by grace. The grace of God as many have defined is God’s unmerited favour. It is what God does for us irrespective of what situation we find ourselves in or what we do.

Grace saves us from the power of sin and teaches us to love righteousness. Titus 2:11-12 says “11 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age” (NIV).

The grace of God also enables us with wisdom and ability to do excel in life. No wonder Apostle Paul said, “I am what I am by his grace”. By God’s he was saved, by God’s grace who excelled in ministry and authored many books under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

As a Christian, you must always know that it takes God’s grace to become someone in life. Don’t take pride in your achievements without acknowledging God’s grace.
Remember, it is important to know that you are who you are by grace. “For by grace are we saved” (Ephesians 2:8). Never take pride in anything, for all you have is the Lord’s doing. Rather, be grateful.

Read: 1 Corinthians 4:7 “For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not

Prayer: Lord, I thank you for your grace which has been made available for me to do exploit in life.

PLAN FOR THE FUTURE.

Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Three major seasons surround our individual lives: the past, present, and future. These seasons largely interact with each other. It is possible for something from your past to influence or determine outcomes in your present and future.

Given the sequence of these seasons, the past is gone, and nothing can be done about it. The present is your current circumstance, and you can make the best of it. The future, however, is a virgin—an untouched phase of your life yet to be experienced.

From our opening scripture, the Bible says God has plans to give us hope and a “future.” Meaning, God is doing something about the future in the now.

As a Christian, this insight must guide your endeavors. See the future as a project to work towards rather than something that will happen unexpectedly. Having a glorious future, which includes a better relationship with God, quality family, good health, sustainable career, and better finances, requires planning.

The future is shaped by the investments of the past and present. Your future is like a harvest. The seeds you sow determine the quality of your future. Plan for the future by making quality decisions and sacrifices that will guarantee great success.

Also, never downplay prayer and counsel, as these can make you a strategic thinker. Invest in your life spiritually, academically, financially, and towards your family and career. This is how to enjoy the future. God’s grace is available.

Read: Philippians 1:6, “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

Prayer: Lord, help me to plan wisely for the future. Teach me to make the right decisions and trust in Your plans for me. Amen.

BELIEVE THE GOSPEL.

Mark 16:16
“He that believes and is baptized shall be saved.”

As humans, we believe in a lot of things in life. It is certain that our life is built around trust. Thus, without “believing,” our very existence will be endangered.
Nonetheless, it is important that we believe in something valuable and life-saving.

Believing in something worthless will make you lose out in life. One essential thing to believe in is the gospel.

The gospel is the good news from God to every human. It tells of how Jesus paid the price for our redemption and that by confessing Him as our Lord and Savior, we are saved.

Believing in the gospel is the only way to be saved. Romans 10:13-15 says, “For ‘everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’ How then can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’”

Thus, you have an individual responsibility regarding the Gospel. Yours is to accept it, believe it, and live it.
Never postpone the decision to believe the good news. Delays in spiritual matters can cost you in this world and the one to come. Believe the Gospel and start living it before it’s too late.

Read: Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

Prayer: Lord, I pray for the heart to believe and live by the gospel. Help me to walk in Your truth always. Amen.

NO WEAPON CAN STAND AGAINST YOU!

Isaiah 54:15-17
“No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed.”

Being a Christian is not just a tag or a label; it is the real life we live in Christ. The Bible says, “For in him we live and move and have our being. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring’” (Acts 17:28).

The life of Christ in us, and we being in Christ, serves as a covering and protection for us. Thus, we can ward off any form of attack championed against us by the devil and any satanic cohort. God didn’t make the Christian to be at the mercy of the devil or any human being.

Divine protection is your birthright or inheritance. You must live with this reality and always claim what is yours by standing on the promises of God. The Bible assures us that we are protected from any weapon because “This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord.”

Know that you cannot be a victim of evil attacks, and you must not become one. No attack is too powerful to bring you down. Why? Because no weapon formed against the believer shall succeed.

When evil forces or devil-inspired individuals rise against your life, family, education, finances, or health, use your faith in the Word to pull them down. Don’t sit back, slack, or cry.

You don’t need any special prophet, oil, or water, nor do you need to give any special money. While symbols and tokens can have significance, God does not trade His protection. Accept the Lordship of Jesus, and you will be in a haven.

Read: Psalm 91:1, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

Prayer: Lord, I thank You for divine protection. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. Help me to walk in the reality of this truth. Amen.

GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD FOR HE IS GOOD.

Psalm 106:1-2
“Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. Who can proclaim the mighty acts of the LORD or fully declare his praise?”

God’s goodness is beyond human understanding. In fact, it can’t be explained and neither can it be understood.

This is the more reason why we must give thanks unto the Lord. You see, to go to bed and to rise up again is because of God’s protection and care (Psslm 3:5).

The goodness of God also is seen in the mercy He keeps showing to man despite our short comings. You see, there are many things to be thankful for. We can’t list the mercies and the awesome helps we have and keep receiving from the Lord.

With this truth, you must always and ceaselessly give thanks to the Lord.
Remember that God is good and His mercy endures forever.

Read: Lamentations 3:22 “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.”

Prayer: Lord, I thank you for all the years of your goodness and mercies over my life and family.

PURPOSE SOMETHING IN YOUR HEART.

Daniel 1:8
“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself”

What you have purposed in your heart to a large extent determines how you will live your life.
Any time you purpose or make a decision about something in your heart, it makes you firm.

Until you purpose something in your heart, you will never be persuaded or live with any conviction.
But as Christians, we ought to be fully persuaded so that nothing in this world will move us out of our faith.

You see, the world today has deviated from what God expects. What God hates is now tolerated in the world. The lists of such activities or actions are endless.
Nonetheless, as a Christian you must be decisive and live by the conviction you have in the Lord.

Like Daniel, stand firm and never let any ungodliness or corrupt standards change you.

Purpose in your heart to live for the Lord till the end of time. Not only that, be ready to suffer and even die for what you have believed in the Lord.
Stand Out! Fight On! Never compromise!

Read: 2 Timothy 1:12 “For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day”

Prayer: Lord, may I with grace and reverence purpose in my heart not to do any kind of evil.
