BLESSED TO FLOURISH.

Psalm 92:12
The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

To flourish means to grow well, to be healthy, to be very successful and to do very well. To flourish also means to prosper. This is the portion of the Christian. God has blessed you to the extent that you can’t be insignificant in life. You have the power to flourish.

Psalm 92:12 says “The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon”.
This was the grace that operated in the life of Joseph. Although he found himself in a strange land, his union with God and reverence for the things of God caused him to flourish.

Genesis 39:2-3 says “And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand”.
Joseph flourished irrespective of where he found himself. Because the Lord was with him, nothing could take away the seed of prosperity from him.

You see, your story must be the same. Irrespective of where you find yourself, you have to flourish. Your spiritual life, education, career, finances and your health must always move from glory to glory.
Never think failure and never live or perform below standard.

You have a royal mandate to shine. The Bible says we are priest and kings, and we are to show God’s glory with our lives.

See 1 Peter 2:9, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light”.

LET THEM HAVE DOMINION.

Genesis 1:26
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth”.

The Bible again in Genesis 1:28 “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth”.
God’s mandate or order to man is for him to have dominion over everything on the earth.

Dominion means the power to control, or rule. Meaning that God wants man to rule in the affairs of life. God wants man to simply be in charge. Psalm 8:6 says of man that, “Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet”.

God wants you to be in charge in life. He wants you to exercise power over the circumstances of life.
It is by walking in dominion that you can make any meaningful progress in life.
Anytime you engage the force of dominion, you keep on keeping on despite the negative forces that may contend with you.

Remember that God has given you the power to be in control over affairs of life and also stay on top of issues.

Read: Psalm 8:6
Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

Prayer: Lord, I thank you for the power you have deposited in me to have dominion in life.

SERVING GOD BRINGS PROSPERITY.

Job 36:11
If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

Serving God is the sure way to prosper in life. God has already planned and put things in place for your prosperity. All you have to do is connect to it.

There are many people today who are looking for prosperity at the wrong places and with wrong approaches. When their attempts proves futile they then turn to blame it on God. But God has nothing to do with anyone’s failure, poverty or struggle. God is never a giver of such things. The Bible says, every good and perfect gift comes from God. This includes riches, wealth and honour.

The Bible agains says, God has given unto us all things that pertain to life and to godliness (2Peter 1:3). In another place the Bible says God gave much property to a king by the name Hezekiah (2Chronicles 32:29).
Don’t go looking for things and ignore God.
He is the source of all the blessings.

Jesus said, “seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all other things- (riches, wealth and honour), shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33).

Connect to God, put him first, serve him genuinely and wholeheartedly and he will prosper you in every area of your life.

Read: Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace to serve you wholeheartedly all the days of my life.

BE OF GOOD CHEER.

John 16:33
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world”.

It is without doubt that the turn of events in our world is moving from bad to worse. Paul’s letter to Timothy echoes this truth. 2 Timothy 3:1 says “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come”.

Yet, in the midst of all this uncertainties and troubles that the end times bring, God says be of good cheer. In other words, never be moved by anything or never lose your joy.

You see, irrespective of what happens, you are always on the winning side. Having in mind that Jesus has already overcome the world, you need not to fear about the future.
Never live in worry and with worry.

Remember that God always keep his sons and daughters in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). You have God’s word that, the “fires” of life cannot consume you, neither can the “waters” of life sweep over you.

Remain focused in your walk with God and never let your heart be troubled in anything.

Read: John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

IT IS A GOOD THING TO GIVE THANKS.

Psalm 92:1
It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:

Being grateful, showing gratitude, or giving thanks is a good thing. The Bible says it is a good thing to give thanks (Psalm 92:1).
This is why you must always learn to be grateful.

You must never forget to say thank you or appreciate things people do for you. Irrespective of how small someone’s contribution can be to your success, don’t forget to express your thanks.

Today, many people are victims of “those who forget”. In fact, they seem not to remember any good thing others have done for them. But as a Christian you must dare to be different.
Never live in ungratefulness. Be thankful to God always, and also find ways to express your thanks to people that God used to bless your life.

The Bible has a wonderful example on this subject of gratitude. It talks about how Jesus healed some ten lepers on his way to Jerusalem and how only one of them retuned to say thanks ( Luke 17:11-19).

Don’t be a forgetful person. Show your gratitude to God, and to the people that God used and still using to bless your life.
Thanksgiving can bring you more blessings.
Always overflow with thanksgiving.

Read: Psalm 92:1
It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:

Prayer: Lord, I pray that I will always have a heart and a mind of gratitude towards people who have done me good.

ACKNOWLEDGE THE DOING OF THE LORD.

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

God is always working for you, with you and in you to make you succeed in life.
Romans 8:28 says “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
Philippians 2:13 also says “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure”. You see, the God factor is a great thing in the life of the believer.

If you are a Christian your story can’t be told without mentioning the doings of the Lord. Truth be told, “without God you couldn’t have made it this far”. You have made it this far because of the Lord.

The Psalmist once said, “If the Lord had not been on our side—let Israel say— , if the Lord had not been on our side when people attacked us, they would have swallowed us alive when their anger flared against us (Psalm 124:1-3). You see, if not for the Lord, many things would have gone wrong by now, in fact, if not for the Lord, the enemy would have taken advantage over your life. But praise be to the Lord who has not left you and I to the wishes of the enemy.

You have to acknowledge the goodness and the doings of God in your life today. The hymn writer, Charles Wesley once said, “Oh, for a thousand tongues to sing, My great Redeemer’s praise, The glories of my God and king, The triumphs of His grace!”

Learn to appreciate, and acknowledge God in all things. You here today because God made a way.

Read: Psalm 103:22
Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul.

Prayer: Lord, I thank you for all you have done, what you are doing and what you capable of doing.

MAKE IT A CONSCIOUS EFFORT TO BE HOLY.

Hebrews 12:14
“Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord”

Other versions say “follow holiness”.
Holiness is God’s very nature that the believer receives at salvation. Therefore the moment you get born again you are made holy and can live it out.

Every Christian has the capacity and ability to live right. It is just a matter of being conscious of the God life which includes “holiness”. All you have to do is to be committed to following the leadings of God in the area.

Holiness is the nature that makes you revere and treat the things of God as sacred. It also makes you dedicate your spirit, soul and body to the Lord. Holiness also makes you separate yourself from anything that corrupts or defiles.

Many people today are not making much progress in the area of holiness, because of ignorance and unwillingness on their part to submit to the Lord in that area.
The Bible gives a classic example of Daniel, a Hebrew boy, who in the days of Nebuchadnezzar refused to defile himself during his stay in Babylon.
Daniel refused to give in to the “pleasure of their days”. He chose to rather submit his body and desires to the Lord, one can say.

Your story may not be different today. You may be faced with wrong forces and pressures that wants you to drop the holiness seed in you. But refuse it.

Walk with the consciousness that you have been made holy and live it out.

Read: 2 Corinthians 7:1
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

DON’T FORSAKE THE GATHERING OF THE SAINTS.

Hebrews 10:25
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is ; but exhorting one another : and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Attending Church services as a Christian is a must. You can’t be a Christian and stay out of fellowship.
Hebrews 10:25 says “not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching”. Another version says, don’t forsake the gathering of the saints.

You see, Hebrews 10:25, just like any verse in the Bible is God’s word that must be obeyed. You must not give priority to some verses over others.
The moment God puts you under any ministry or into any sheepfold, you have a duty to avail yourself to be taught God’s word as and when the Church decides or calls for any meeting.

You see, the same sense of urgency you attach to your work and educational pursuits must also be attached to attending Church services and even more. You must never be an absentee church member in any case. In other words, you must strive to make it to Church regularly and you must also be punctual.

Never play games with attending Church. Don’t say, “I was in Church last week so missing it this week does not matter”. Missing Church services is a serious issue. You can miss a miracle, you can miss a message that can change you, and you can miss a blessing.

Never let the issues of life take you out of Church services. Always be present. Like David, desire to be in God’s house always.

Read: Psalm 84:10
For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

Prayer: Lord, I pray that you will give me the grace and strength to always be in attendance with the gathering of the saints.

HONESTY, KEY TO KEEPING PROFITABLE RELATIONSHIPS.

Colossians 3:9
Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds.

God in His infinite wisdom most often connects us to people who helps us to achieve great things in life. Such unions, connections, or associations is what one can call profitable relationships.
Every profitable relationship promotes your God-given purpose and also creates room for the expression of your gift.

Many people have been blessed by the Lord with “profitable relationships” but their lack of understanding as to how to go about things has ruined the relationship.
It is therefore important to know the keys to keeping relationships.

For instance, one key principle to keeping relationships is by being HONEST. One dictionary defines honesty as refusal to lie, steal or deceive in any way. You see, anytime you go with the virtue of honesty, you remain truthful, sincere and never conceal relevant facts that has the tendency to destroy your profitable relationship.

Many people have destroyed glorious relationships by their act of dishonesty and lies.
Be determined to remain honest no matter what may come your way.

Read: Colossians 3:9
Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

Prayer: Lord I pray for grace and wisdom to be honest as I endeavor to keep all profitable relationships.

WHEN THE SPIRIT COMES UPON YOU.

John 16:13
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

You need to understand the move of the Spirit in this last days so that you can do well in life. Life without the Spirit will only result in struggle and frustration. One of the key reasons for the coming of the Spirit was to help us and to make life enjoyable to the believer.

See John 16:13 “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”
The Spirit is for your guidance and he will also reveal things to you.

Notwithstanding that the Spirit is for your good, until you understand His operations you will not be blessed so much.
The Spirit of the Lord is operating in different dimensions in this era.
We have the Spirit within, and the Spirit upon.

Isaiah 11:2 says “And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord”
The “Spirit upon” is one way that the Spirit wants to use you as a believer. This operation of the Spirit demands that you become a genuine servant. When the Spirit of the Lord rest upon you, he becomes your master and you must be willing to follow sincerely as a servant wherever the Spirit will lead you.

The Spirit of the Lord rest upon people to start things, to break grounds and to build things. Many people have lost this manifestation of the Spirit in their lives because of stubbornness and heartlessness.

Determine to be a genuine servant and the Spirit will rest upon you to do awesome things in life.

Read: Acts 1:8
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Prayer: Lord, I thank you for the gift of the Spirit for my benefit in this life.
