DOING GOOD AND SHARING WITH OTHERS.

Hebrews 13:16 says,
“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased”.

Doing good and sharing with others is a sacrifice that God recognizes. The Bible says God is pleased with such sacrifices.

One truth that must dominate your life as a Christian is sacrifice. You must believe in it and practice it against all odds. Anytime you sacrifice you give up something of value for the sake of other considerations. Meaning that, core to the principle of sacrifice is “OTHERS”. Your sacrifice blesses and helps other people.

The greatest sacrifice of all times that the world has ever known was made because of “others”. This sacrifice, which God championed by giving us Jesus to die for us has forever remained the only course that blesses humanity.

Today, the baton has been passed to you. You are not required to go to the cross at Golgotha to die for people’s redemption, but yours is to do good and share the blessings you have with others. This is the sacrifice God wants you to do.
Always find the opportunity and sacrifice for others.

Read: Hebrews 13:16
But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace and the heart to continually do good and share with others.

DON’T FORSAKE COUNSEL.

Proverbs 15:22
Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.

It always take “counsel” to make it in life. Anytime you open your heart to receive counsel from elderly people and matured Christians you are imparted with the wisdom that enables you to succeed.

Most often than not, wise counsel simplifies your life and also make things easier. You see, it is always hard travelling on an unknown road. That is why you need counsel to help you get a better understanding and to also guide you in making crucial decisions.

The Bible says, plans fail because of lack of counsel. See Proverbs 15:22: “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed”.
Most people have failed in life because they ignored some wise counsels.

Never live like you know it all. Be humble enough to hear an instruction and to receive counsel from someone who has gone ahead of you.
Make it your lifestyle to always seek counsel on important things before you start doing things.

Remember that in the multitude of counselors there is victory.

Read: Proverbs 11:14
Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

Prayer: Lord, I pray for a humble heart and a teachable spirit to always subject myself to receiving wise counsel.

TAKE LIFE SERIOUS.

Proverbs 18:9
He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.

To make it in life you need to take things seriously. Folks who take life casual will never become successful.
Seriousness means, you think and weigh the consequences of your decision before you act.

Life must also be approached with some degree of urgency. For you to be considered as a serious person carelessness and frivolous excuses must not be part of your life.

Despite many teachings in the word on this subject, many Christians are still not serious. They live life as if they are on an excursion. Some have even taken serious things like education, spiritual growth, and discipline as nothing. They just toy with it.

But you see, being serious in life denotes that you must take such important things serious.

The lack of seriousness has cost the body of Christ more than you can estimate. Today pastors must preach one message a “thousand times” before the members try to practice it. Some even don’t care how they live. They live in sin and always re-dedicate their lives to God. This is nothing but lack of seriousness.

Be determined to be serious. Know when you have to get up from bed to pray, know when you have to study, and know when you have to spend or save.

Don’t live anyhow. Make seriousness your hallmark.

HOLD FAST YOUR CONFESSION.

Hebrews 4:14
“Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession”.

Holding fast to your confession means that you keep what you believe and constantly make it your confession.

Anytime you hold fast to your confession, you constantly say things in agreement with God’s word no matter the situation you encounter.
Many Christians have not done well in this area. Because for some people, when they make a faith filled declaration and see nothing manifest immediately, they give up on their confession of what the word says about them.

You see, there are people that when they are faced with health challenges and confess that they are healed but the symptoms of the sickness seems to linger on, they conclude that this “faith confession thing” does not work. But this is not the case. The faith declaration or confession must be continued till it dominates you with its realities.

Don’t make a “hit and run” confession and conclude that making a confession of what God’s word says does not work.
The word always work. It can cause you to live in health, it can cause you to prosper, it can cause you to live in the righteousness of God.

Hold on to the confession of your faith, because it will surely produce an enviable results.

Read: Hebrews 10:23
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace and strength to hold on to God’s promises for my life.

YOUR LABOUR FOR CHRIST IS NOT IN VAIN.

Hebrews 6:10
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

God is a God who remembers. God is not forgetful like most people. He is called Jehovah Zakar, meaning the Lord who remembers.

Hebrews 6:10 says “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward His name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister”.
You working for God or labouring to support people in the ministry will not go unrewarded. The Bible says in all labour there is profit (Proverbs 14:23). Thus your labour for the things of God will bring you profit without fail.

You must know that nothing you do for the Lord goes unnoticed. God sees all that you do to advance his work and also takes notice of your gifts to the saints. The Apostle Paul affirmed this to the believers in Corinth by saying in 1 Corinthians 15:58 that,”…my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain”.

Never take lightly what you are doing for the Lord seeing that He is watching and will reward you accordingly.

Read: 1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace and strength to always labour for the course of the gospel and the kingdom of God.

OBEY GOD WILLINGLY

Isaiah 1:19-20
“If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it”.

When you willingly obey the Lord you always get the best out of life.
Your obedience to God must not come from you being forced or coerced.

You see, you must joyfully decide to obey God in every situation. This is what brings prosperity.

Your obedience to God as a Christian must be unquestionable. Circumstances must not dictate whether you should obey God or not.

When obeying God becomes your priority, you will always walk in your high places. In fact, the lines will fall unto you in pleasant places.

The reason why some Christians struggle in life is because of disobedience. Interestingly some Christians don’t take God’s word serious but they still want to get blessed.
Nonetheless the truth is one, when you are disobedient to God, your prayers are hindered.

To make God’s blessings an unending stream into your life, be willing and obedient to the word of the Lord at all times.

Read: Isaiah 1:19
If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace to always obey your word willingly in all situations.

CALL UNTO ME AND I WILL ANSWER.

Jeremiah 33:3
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not”.

God’s word to anyone in need of any awesome happenings is clear. The command or the instruction is to call. God has already said he will answer.

God will always keep his word. This is why you must not take lightly the instruction “CALL ON ME”. You see, the Bible says God cannot lie.
Hebrews 6:18 says “That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation…”.
Numbers 23:19 says “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it ? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make good?”

This is just to let you know that God is ever ready to respond to your call.
You see, no time spent in prayer goes waste. It rather opens the door for great and mighty things to happen.
Your prayers are very important. It causes things to turn to your favour.

Take serious your prayer moments.
Carry everything to the Lord in prayer and you will need not to bear any needless pain or forfeit your peace.

It is time to pray.

Read: Psalm 65:4
Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

Prayer: Lord I pray that in every situation and circumstance I fine myself may you be my first point of call through prayer.

YOU MUST CONTROL YOUR BODY!

1 Corinthians 9:27
But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

The Bible has made it clear that man is a spirit, he has a soul but lives in a body. These three features about man is essentially different. For instance, with the spirit man is able to contact God. The Bible calls the spirit of a man the candle of the Lord (Proverbs 20:27) and God relates with you through the spirit. The soul is also the seat of your emotions, your will, and your intellect. The body houses the spirit and expresses the “works” of either the soul or the spirit.

You see, the fact that you are born again doesn’t mean that your body will automatically “do the right stuffs”. You must know that its is your spirit that is “born again”, your soul must be renewed and the body must be controlled. The body per its nature is your “earthly jacket” so it has the tendency to relate more with natural things. Not only that, it also acts out the desires of either the soul or the spirit whichever is stronger. Meaning that, when your soul (what you think about, what you feel, or what you desire) is stronger than what the spirit desires the soul wins and your body will obey the soul.

The body can only be successfully controlled when you build your spirit to extent that it dominates your soul and brings its desires in sync with the spirit.
You can’t control your body without building a strong spirit.
Many Christians are missing it when it comes to overpowering sin because they lack this understanding.

You see, when God’s word gains ground in your spirit, and it dominates your soul, your body can’t misbehave by doing “strange things”.
Be serious about building a strong spirit and your body will do what God wants.

Read: 1 Corinthians 9:27
But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace to always put my body under subjection through constant practice of your word.

GOD IS ABLE TO DO.

Ephesians 3:20
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

When it comes to a man receiving blessings from God, it is more dependent on the man than on God. The truth is, God is able to do all things. The Bible has made it clear God’s divine ability and willingness to bless us.

Consider the scripture: Ephesians 3:20 “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”

God is only limited by your inability to “ask” or “think” in faith. You see, the power in every child of God is fueled by faith in God. As long as you ask or even give thought to something in faith, God is ever ready and willing to bless you with it.

Another scripture puts it this way: 2 Peter 1:3 “According as his divine power has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness…”
You see, God is never in short of power, neither is He reluctant to bless his children.
Yours is to ask, and think about God’s ability to make all things possible. Remember, God is Able.

Read: 2 Peter 1:3
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Prayer: Lord, I thank you for you mighty power that work’s mightily in me far beyond my thoughts and imagination.
