JEHOVAH-RAAH

Psalm 23:1
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Jehovah Raah means “The Lord is my shepherd”. It is one of the redemptive names of God and shows the privilege we have as children of God.

David said in Psalm 23:1 that “The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack”. (AMP)
God the Shepherd guides the believer and brings him to a place of comfort, and protection. This tells how much God is interested in you having the best in life.

You see, you are not at the mercy of life’s circumstance if the good shepherd leads you. Because, He will lead you through the struggles of life, and protect you from danger.

Many born again folks have not yet submitted to the “leadership” of the Lord. In fact, they run their “own show” and do what pleases them and not God. Such people run into error, lack and become victims of the satanic manipulations.

Jesus said my sheep know my voice and they follow me. So it is in following the shepherd that guarantees your safety and sufficiency.

Know that God is always willing to lead you into your wealthy place and to cause you to have the best in life (Ezekiel 34:13). He is Jehovah-Raah, your shepherd. Only remain in His sheepfold and He will bless you.

Read: Ezekiel 34:12-13
As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country.

Prayer: Lord, I thank you for being my shepherd who leads me through blessed and favorable paths.

SPEAK EVIL OF NO MAN.

James 3:2
For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

Unguided speech or talk can produce many ill consequence. But as spirit guided and spirit filled Christians, God expects us to have mastery over speech in life. James 3:2 tells us that we have control over our body once we have control over our speech.

One great principle that must guide you in all your conversations is this, NEVER SPEAK EVIL OF ANY MAN.
Titus 3:2 makes this truth more clearer. “Speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men”.

To speak evil of no man demands that don’t utter or make defamatory statements injurious to the reputation or well-being of other persons. It means that, you must not practice slander, gossip, backbiting or give false accusations about people.

You see, words are such that, any word carelessly spoken cannot be taken. Thus any bad information you pass out about someone even in a passive way can go a long away to destroy the person or ruin their future.
Today, there are many people hurting and suffering because of something that someone said about them. Not only that, many meaningful relationships have being crushed because of slander.

Proverbs 16:28 says “A perverse man sows strife, and a whisperer separates the best of friends. How many times have people become alienated because of slander other people spread about them?

From today, be a master of speaking. Let no evil word proceed out of your mouth about someone.

Read:Psalms 101:5 “Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, Him I will destroy”.

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace to speak well of people. Amen

KEEP YOUR PRAISE UP.

Psalm 9:2
I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

God has many precious promises for every child of his. Nonetheless God’s promise does not exempt the believer from challenges. As a matter of fact, challenges comes to everyone, to both believers and unbelievers alike. Your response will determine your Victory.

For instance, the Bible tells of how the Israelites met great challenge or opposition on their way to inherit their promise.
God promised them a good and large land, flowing with milk and honey (Exodus 3:7-8).
Their only opposition to this promise was a city, Jericho which had fortified walls.
God instructed them to go around the walls of this city with trumpets, Praising him.

You see, you don’t breakthrough in life by crying, complaining or getting depressed over challenges. Your breakthrough is in your Praise. When the promise of God to you is delayed, don’t resolve to complains, rather Praise your way through.

Your praise is a sign of faith. Jesus said in John 20:29 “…blessed are they that has not yet seen but believes”. Praising God for what you have not yet seen shows great Faith. God honors faith.

Your praise will bring down walls, break limitations and cripple every stumbling block between you and Gods blessing.

Keep Praising.

JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY.

John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

There can be several ways of doing some things in life. This justifies the existence of different approaches to either solving problems or getting things done. Nonetheless, when it comes to a person being saved or getting into a personal relationship with God, there is only one way.

There are not several ways of being saved or having a relationship with God. In John 14:6 “Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me”.
You see, you can’t have a relationship with God without Jesus. In order words, you can’t be saved without Jesus.

Jesus is the only meditator between God and man. 1 Timothy 2:5 says, “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;“. This means that, Jesus is the only one that can truly connect us to God.

Apostle Peter under the inspiration of the Spirit said,
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved except the name of Jesus (Acts 4: 10, 12).

Never be deceived by any “strange teachings” that does not magnify and show Jesus as the savoir.
Always know that “essence” of the gospel is Jesus. Don’t know this truth for yourself, tell others as well.
Tell the world that Jesus is the only way to the father, for it is in Christ that we are accepted by God.

Read: Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Prayer: Lord, I pray that I will always know you as the way to salvation and the way to life.

PART COMPANY WITH SIN.

1 John 3:9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

In as much God has delivered believers from sin and the power of sin, we must continue in this same “state” by consciously disengaging ourselves from sinful acts. You see, the new life in you is programmed to have power over sin. This makes sin more of a choice. Thus, as a child of God, you sin because you want to sin.

It is without doubt that sin as a negative force has risen to its highest level in the end times. See Matthew 24:12:
“Because of the increase of wickedness (evil, iniquity, lawlessness) the love of most will grow cold”. But this is not an excuse to give in to sin.
You see, you must never make an excuse or justify a sinful action in any way.

Giving an excuse for doing something wrong, will keep you in a self created bondage of sin. On the other hand, the Bible says, sin shall not have dominion over you (Romans 6:14).

In parting company with sin, you must be word conscious to enable you resit the deception that sin brings. Be smart enough to know that, irrespective of how small an act is, if it is sin, it will grow and also cause you to abound in other sinful acts. Hence, the statement, “sin gives birth to sin”.

Don’t give in to sin, no matter the justification that this corrupt world will give to it. Remember that, sin has serious consequences that can mar or destroy your walk with God.

Read: 1 John 3:9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace to keep to the redeemed state God has brought and avoid every temptation to sin.

IT WILL GO WELL.

Isaiah 3:10
“Yet reassure the righteous; it will go well with them! They will fully enjoy the reward of their deeds”.

This promise is a beacon of hope in the midst of life’s challenges. It assures us that God is always working for our good, even when circumstances seem difficult or uncertain. With God, there is no such thing as a “hopeless case” or situation.

The promise of “it shall be well or it will go well” is not just a vague reassurance, but a tangible reality that we can cling to. It means that every happening, no matter how unfavorable things are it will ultimately work out for our good. This is a reason to hold on to hope and never give up in life.

Isaiah’s prophecy is a reminder that God is always at work, perfecting all that concerns us. He remembers our labor of love and sacrifice, and His word will manifest in our lives. We can trust that He will make all grace abound unto us, and that His plans are always for our good.

You see, if God says it shall be well with you, nothing can stop that manifestation. Believe it, confess it and abide in his word and there shall be a performance.

Read: Ecclesiastes 3:11 “Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end”

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace to hold on to your promises with an unwavering faith knowing that it will go well.

OVERCOME LAZINESS.

Proverbs 13:4
The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.

Laziness is one key factor that has landed many believers into poverty. You can’t achieve results in life when you are lazy.

The bible says “THE SOUL OF THE SLUGGARD DESIRETH, AND HAS NOTHING: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat” (Proverbs 13:4). You see laziness only amounts to poverty.

Lazy folks desire but yet have nothing. Desires alone cannot bring life’s best to you. Breakthroughs, wealth and houses are not desired into existence without the involvement of the hands and brains. It is only the diligent that enjoy abundance.

Many today have ended up in lack, shame and hardship because of laziness. They prefer sleep, spending hours to watch champions league, and engaging in unnecessary political and football arguments. The Bible says “then poverty will pounce on them like a bandit (Proverbs 6:11).

Friend arise! breakout from laziness and get something done today. Work towards your desires and dreams and you shall have abundance

Read: Proverbs 13:4 The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace to overcome the spirit of laziness and diligently work at things that will bring great profit.

HELP OTHERS TO SUCCEED.

Philippians 2:4
encourages us, “Do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.”

As Christians, we are called to consistently support and uplift others, demonstrating genuine concern for their well-being. It’s important to not only expect help from God or others but also to actively seek opportunities to assist those around us.

Helping others achieve success does not diminish your worth or make you inferior. Embrace a “win-win” mentality, understanding that God’s call for us includes aiding others. As Matthew 5:13 reminds us that we are the light of the world, let your life illuminate the lives of those in darkness.

Life shouldn’t be centered solely on yourself. Recognize the importance of helping others reach their destinies. For example, Mark 2:3-12 describes four men who assisted someone in receiving healing from Jesus, and Matthew 8:4-5 recounts how a Roman centurion sought healing for his servant.

As you journey through life, make it a priority to help others succeed. Whether it’s leading someone to salvation, helping them deepen their relationship with the Lord, or supporting them in their career, ministry, relationships, or marriage.

Your efforts and sacrifices will not go unrewarded. God will recognize your contributions. Never ignore those who genuinely need your help, and don’t stand by when you have the means to improve someone’s life.

Galatians 6:10 encourages us, “Take advantage of every opportunity to be a blessing to others, especially to our brothers and sisters in the family of faith!”

Prayer: Lord, grant me the grace to continually be a blessing to others by helping them succeed in their endeavors. Amen.

HATE NO ONE!

1 John 2:9-10
“Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness. Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble”

Christians have the love of God in their hearts, and they must live it out in their dealings with people. Thus, no Christian must hate his or her brother.

Walking in hatred towards people is not something you must go with or allow as a Christian no matter what.

You see, people will not always do things that will serve your interests. Others too, may maltreat you or do things that will adversely affect you. But your best card to play in these moments is to walk in the light of God’s word by not hating them.

Hatred is always a recipe for disaster. When it is fully grown in you it will make you cruel towards people. When you hate people, it affects the quality of your heart.

Safeguard your heart from “hating people”. Let love lead no matter how people treat you.

Read: 1 John 2:11 “But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness. They walk around in the darkness. They don’t know where they are going. The darkness has made them blind.”

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace to walk in love towards people and not to hate them..

MAKE ROOM FOR EXTRA

2 Chronicles 17:12
And Jehoshaphat waxed great exceedingly; and he built in Judah castles, and cities of store.

Anytime you make room for extra, you carry more than enough of something for future usage or for precautionary proposes. When you have something in ” extra” it means that you have something supplementary to what is already present or available.

The wisdom of making room for something extra is clear from the parable of the ten virgins in the book of Mathew 25. The Bible talks about these ten virgins by putting them in two categories. One in the category of wise virgins and the other in the foolish category.

The Bible calls the first category as wise since these virgins made room for extra oil for the lamps they carried on a journey whiles the others did not.
But nothing gave a “red light” till they reached the point where their mission will be accomplished before they saw the devastating effect of their lack of extra oil.

Many people today are just like the five foolish virgins. They live and never make room for anything “extra” in life. But wisdom demands that you must sometimes carry more than enough if you want to go far with something or reach the end of your mission successfully.

Sometimes what you need to make it is some extra prayer, extra word study, extra giving to the things of God, extra holiness, extra savings and extra of something valuable.

Don’t waste all that you have today, also create room to store valuable things that will bring you to the end of your journey without struggle.

And Jehoshaphat waxed great exceedingly; and he built in Judah castles, and cities of store.

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace and strength to always make room to do extra things.
