PRAY FOR THE HARVEST OF SOULS INTO GOD’S KINGDOM.

Romans 10:1
“Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.”

It is the will of God that every sinner comes to the saving knowledge of Christ Jesus.
God does not want anyone to perish. He desires to have a fellowship with everyone. This is the very reason for which Jesus came. He came to seek and to save that which was lost.

As a Christian, God wants you to partner this worthy course. God wants you to stand in and pray for other folks who are still not yet saved.

The Bible says, “but if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost, in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not”. Today, sinners and unbelievers abound because the god of this world (Satan) has blinded their eyes.

There is a deep influence of the devil on many folks which has prevented them from yielding to the salvation message that will save and bring them to Christ.

Arise and make earnest prayers for them that are not saved because God does not delight in the destruction of any sinner.

Ephesians 1:18
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace to always intercede for souls that they will be save.

ARE YOU IN TROUBLE? PRAY!

James 5:13
“Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise”

Life is not devoid of troubles. Every phase or stage of your life comes with new challenges, and situations that bring distress. God’s prescription to you in these moments is for you to pray.

Prayer brings God’s intervention to seemingly impossible situations. Thus, until you pray, your life will be encumbered with difficulties that may hinder you greatly.

God is ready to help you and to empower you weather the storms of life. Whether financially, morally, spiritually, maritally, academically, etc., God is ready to make a way for you where there seems to be no way. But you must get into your prayer closet to see these manifestations.

Never resort to complaints, murmurings, and even tears when you are faced with hardships, or troubles. Beloved, pray! That’s how to let go of all the needless pain.

When you are in distress call on the Lord in prayer and He will come to your aid.

Read: Jeremiah 33:2-3
“This is what the LORD says, he who made the earth, the LORD who formed it and established it-the LORD is his name: Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”

Prayer: Lord, I pray for the grace to resort to you in times of difficulties. Amen

DON’T HOLD THINGS AGAINST PEOPLE AND PRAY!

Mark 11:25
“And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

Prayer is a sincere or solemn activity. It therefore requires a heart that is never comprised or yielded to evil.

People who pray, must therefore pay a great attention to the state of their heart.
Your heart can’t meddle in evil and at the same time keep a sanctified relationship with God.

You see, for your prayers to make impact or produce results, you must watch your heart. Guard your heart against offences, bitterness or grudges towards people.

Folks who pray, but never ensure their heart is right with God or people, are sincerely wasting their time.

If you want your prayers answered or if you want your prayers to refresh your relationship with God, learn to forgive people.
Forgive them regardless of whether they deserve it or not.

Never waste your prayers because of unforgiveness or grudges against people.

Read: Ephesians 4:31-32 “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace to walk in love and forgiveness towards people as I go about my prayer life. Amen

GET UP AND PRAY.

Luke 22:46
“Why are you sleeping?” he asked them. “Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.”

Prayer helps us to keep a vital relationship with God. It also makes us vigilant in our walk with God. This is why as Christians, we must constantly or consistently pray.

As Christians, prayer makes our spirit alert and helps us to apprehend many things long before they manifest in the physical.

Our text in Luke 22:46 was the caution Jesus gave to his followers when he came to meet them sleeping instead of praying. You see, anytime you are not vigilant as a Christian, the devil finds space to operate in your territory. In fact, he makes you lose your hold in the midst of temptations and trials.

There are many temptations that can be avoided by being “prayerful”. People who are prayerful will either sense the “hour of temptation” or receive divine strength and wisdom to overcome any temptation that the devil will throw at them.

Don’t spend your time on frivolous things. Make time to pray consistently and regularly since it contributes greatly to your victory over temptations and trials.

Read: Ephesians 6:18 “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people”

Prayer: Lord, I pray for the grace to be consistent in my prayer life. Amen

DON’T BE PROUD!

Matthew 23:12
“And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted”

There is nothing glorious about living in pride. The sin of pride only brings shame and dishonour to all its devotees.

You see, pride will never give you any best outcome in life. Although people who are proud do so to be recognized and to be accorded some honour, they rather lose it all.

Our opening text puts it straight. “Whosoever exalts himself shall be abased…”

Those who live in pride forget that God is the one who can make and unmake people. It is important to know that pride can’t give you a place of honour and recognition like humility. You don’t have to live in arrogance and “self-exaltation” before you can be honoured in life. Don’t forcefully give yourself a “false standard of living” just because you want to show off.

Allow God’s word to impart you with wisdom and the grace to be humble. Constantly pray not to be proud. Deliver yourself from any behaviour leading to pride. Not only that, be ready to receive instruction and counsel which is a safeguard to keep you humble.

Read: Proverbs 29:23 “Pride brings a person low, but the lowly in spirit gain honor” (NIV)

Prayer: Father, I pray that I will forever walk in humility towards you, your things and everyone.

AVOID WRONG CHOICES.

Genesis 3:6
“And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat”

Life is full of choices. Each and every day you must make a choice to keep going. Nonetheless, the choices you make can impact your life negatively or positively.

You see, we make choices that cut across all spheres of life. Some can be spiritual, social, financial, and moral. But all these choices have its consequences. This makes choices very delicate. A good choice will bless your life and a wrong choice can jeopardize your life for good.

The Bible in our opening text shows the choice of Eve in the garden of Eden. Despite the Lord’s specific instruction on what they were to do in the garden, Eve made a choice contrary to what the Lord expected. Genesis 3:6 says “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat”

Eve’s choice was guided by what she saw in the flesh and what she desired. Not long after that, the consequences followed. What They have was lost, and their relationship with God was destroyed (Genesis 3:22-24).

This example is something, every believer must learn from. Don’t just make choices. Learn to consider things carefully, especially the word of God and some specific instructions the Lord might have given you before you make any choice in life.

Never make choices because of the present pleasure and satisfaction it will give you. Think beyond temporary or transient pleasures and satisfactions when making choices.

You see, most people have put their life in a disadvantaged position because of a wrong choice.

Read: Deuteronomy 30:19 “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore, choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live”

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for the opportunity to make choices in life. I pray for grace and wisdom not to make choices that will jeopardize my life and destiny. Amen.

SERVE GOD WITH A LOYAL HEART.

1 Samuel 16:6
“When they arrived, Samuel saw Eliab and thought, “Surely the Lord’s anointed stands here before the Lord.” (NIV).

The book of 1st Samuel chapter 16 reveals an important factor that qualifies a person for the service of God and His blessings.

In the account of 1 Samuel chapter 16, we see David, a teenager shepherd boy whose heart of loyalty caught the attention of heaven.

A loyal heart, a heart that is faithful to the Lord thoroughly, or a perfect heart is recognised and honoured by the Lord.

That’s why as a Christian irrespective of what you do in the house of God, or in life you must examine your heart.

A loyal heart is a heart that stands with God at any given circumstance. The bible said this about David in Acts 13:22 “And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.”

You see, it is very possible to serve the Lord or go about service without a loyal heart and yet do the work you are to do (2 Chron 25:2). Serving without a loyal heart will never bring you a reward from God.

As a Christian, you must make it your life’s goal to serve the Lord with a loyal heart. This is because serving God today with a loyal heart doesn’t mean serving God tomorrow with the same loyal heart.
Your loyal heart towards God and the things of God can be challenged. The bible said in 1 Kings 11:4 “For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of David his father”.

There is therefore the need to guard one’s loyal heart towards the service of God. Many things can confront your loyal heart, for instance marital issues, health issues, financial issues, educational issues, and other concerns of life have the proclivity to negatively affect your service towards God.

Serve God today! Serve him with a Loyal Heart!

Read:1 Corinthians 4:2 “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”

Prayer: Lord I thank you for the privilege be in your service. I pray that I will forever serve with a loyal heart.

THE PRAYER OF FAITH, SAVES.

James 5:15
“And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.”

Sometimes people find themselves in difficult situations where their life is at stake. For instance, some are faced with life threatening sicknesses, and hardships that brings trauma. In these critical times, what is needed is to engage the prayer of faith.

The Bible says, the prayer of faith shall “save”. Thus, we are not left to our fate when we are faced with awkward moments.

The preceding verses to our opening text, tells that, believers can fall on the elders or matured believers in the church to benefit from the prayer of faith.

The prayer of faith simply stands on God’s promises to make a demand. Such prayers declare as done any request made based on God’s faithfulness. It does not look at circumstances but looks at the promises of God which are yes and amen.
This unwavering faith, turns around every life threatening case.

Remember that, you can also call on elders in the church to pray with you.

The prayer of faith shall save the sick, and it shall save any situation that is trying to bring you down.

Read: Jeremiah 33:3 “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not”

Prayer: Lord, thank you that as I pray in faith, every negative situation in my life shall be averted.

LISTEN TO WHAT THE SPIRIT SAYS.

Isaiah 30:21
“Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.”

One of the priceless and precious things you can have in life is the voice of the spirit. Nothing can be compared to it. Walking through life and hearing the voice of God makes you a stalwart as you will never live by trial and error.

You see, what the Holy Spirit says is the direction and guidance that the Holy Spirit gives to the Christian. It is through this leading that we can make real progress in life.

Every Christian must master the art of following the voice of the Spirit. Nonetheless, this can only be possible if you learn to know and distinguish the voice of the Holy Spirit from all other voices.

Most people who made great impart in the days of old knew and followed the voice of the Spirit. See how Apostle Peter described his experience in the city of Joppa when he was invited by a gentile. Acts 11:12 “And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man’s house”. Upon following the voice of the Spirit, God brought salvation and poured the Spirit on the gentiles for the first time.

Learn to follow the voice of the Holy Spirit in all that you do in life. Follow the leadings of the Spirit in the area of your ministry, education, finance, career, relationship and marriage, and all that concerns you.

Don’t act without hearing the voice of the Spirit. Remember that, as many as are led by the Holy Spirit, they are the sons of God. Always stay in prayer and be sure you have heard His voice before you start out to do something.

Read :John 16:13 “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come”

Prayer: I pray for grace to submit to the voice of the Spirit. Amen

HOW TO BE ANOINTED.

Hebrews 1:9
“You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.”

Being anointed is important. Every Christian must strive to be anointed and stay anointed. The anointing empowers you for exploits in life and ministry (Acts 10:38).

Receiving an anointing or “catching an anointing” as some say, is dependent on your relationship with the Lord. Any believer who wants to be anointed and stay anointed must learn to continually yield to the Lord.

You see, the anointing comes from the Lord not from man. Thus, until God deems you fit, by how you have prepared your heart and life in general, you can’t be anointed.

For Jesus he was anointed by the Lord because he have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. Thus, your separation from worldliness, carnality and any form of evil doing is what qualifies you to be anointed. You can’t live in unforgiveness, immorality, pride, arrogance, etc. and expect to be anointed.

Don’t be deceived in thinking that you can get anointed your own way. No amount of offering you give, fasting, or any religious activities you engage in can get you anointed, when your personal relationship with God is questionable and you are not committed to living a sanctified life.

Read:Psalm 89:20 “I have found David my servant; with my sacred oil I have anointed him”

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace to live a life that will qualify me to become anointed.
