Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
To be blessed is choice. As a child of God you are already blessed as result of your faith in God. You enjoy the blessings that comes with you being saved.
However, you can only enjoy higher levels of blessings when you position yourself well in your walk with God . By position, I mean, your associations and source of counsel.
Bible says: “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. (Psalm 1:1)
We see from the above scripture three ways by which you can position yourself to blessed.
The first is, not walking in ungodly counsels. Counsel refers to wisdom, advice, etc. Your source of advice must be from Gods word, anything short of that must not be something to subscribe to.
Another way to position yourself is to avoid the “way of the sinner”. Way refers to mannerism and methods. You must not subscribe to the sinful methods of the world. Sinful methods are only a temporal fix which can’t stand the test of time.
Finally, you must learn to avoid the “seat of the scornful”. This is the company of those who don’t show respect unto the things of God. They mock the church, disregard its practices and criticize pastors. From such association turn away.
You see, you must determine to position yourself well to be blessed in life.
Bible says a man that avoids wrong companies and positions himself well “shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” (Psalm 1:3)
Beloved, position yourself well to prosper.
Read: Psalm 1:3
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace and wisdom to position myself for a blessing.
