Love the Lord

Matthew 22:37
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Loving the Lord is central to our Christian walk. In Matthew 22:37, “Jesus said… , Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind”.

As a believer, you are intrinsically inspired by the Holy Spirit to practice and stand for the course of love no matter what. It is a nature you respond to by default.

There is nothing as demanding in the love of God than obedience to his commandments. God lovers are God pleasers. When you love the Lord, the love for the world cannot take over your life.

Our love for God is on the premise that he first loved us. Carry out God’s assignment considering the fact that he first loved. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments…(1 John 5:3).
Revive your love for God by practically walking in obedience to his commandments.

1 John 5:3
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace to be more saturated in your love everyday of my life.

Don’t let others define you.

1 Peter 2:9
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

It is wrong and embarrassing for people to define and say what you are not. God’s word defines us and his daily provisions confirms who we are.

You are a chosen vessel of God, people’s opinion and view should neither deter you from your original state of being nor frustrate you in life.

Whatever that doesn’t agree with your “inner man” is false. Don’t let your past, mistakes, circumstances or location define you.

Take charge of your life with confidence and determination and there will be no limit to what you can do or be. Never give evil people and the devil the chance to rob you of your blessings.

The devil tried to change Jesus’ identity by calling him names, but one thing was certain, he knew who he was and nothing could change that.

Psalm 87:3
Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.

Prayer: Lord, I refuse to succumb to the opinions of men that does not agree with my inner man.

Where will you be at the end of this life?

John 14:2-3
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Life on earth is nothing but a transition through to our eternal homes. The believer’s life on earth must prepare him or her into eternal glory.

Your works on earth will determine either your place of rest or torment. Look at what Jesus told his disciples in John 14:2-3 “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go and prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” So you see, it’s about meeting Jesus after death.

As Jesus prepares the way to receive us, we must also be prepared to present ourselves without blemish.

Don’t wast this precious life that God has given you. Live you life everyday in preparation towards the appearance of your Jesus.

After all is said and done what actually matters is your eternal destination. Make heaven your priority.

1 John 3:3
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Prayer: Lord, I pray that I will always walk with the consciousness of heaven in my mind and heart.

Divine exemption.

Acts 27:22
And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man’s life among you, but of the ship.

Anytime you are exempted, you are freed from an obligation or a responsibility imposed on others.

When God exempts you, you are graced not to suffer the same fate with the rest of the world. Divine exemption sets you apart for a glorious experience despite adverse prevailing circumstances.

One day, Paul the Apostle was faced with a daring situation that could have ended his life but he was divinely exempted. Here what the Bible had to say “But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss. And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man’s life among you.

God divinely exempts his own from the tragedies and evil situations of this life any time we call on him.

Psalm 91:11
“For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways”.

Prayer: Lord, I thank you for exempting me from all evil situations and circumstances.

SIN, an enemy to Avoid.

1 John 3:8
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

The works of the flesh, evil desires and evil thoughts are all engagement that leads to SIN.

Sin hardens the heart of a person. The more you engage in sinful acts the less your chance of maintaining your righteousness consciousness.

The tool of destruction the devil uses against the world and believers is sin. SIN is an enemy that we must absolutely AVOID.

SIN IS A SINKER, the more you sin, the more you sink. SIN may seem SWEET, but it’s terribly dangerous. Sin can costs you more than you can pay, it keeps you more than you can wait, even takes you farther than you are willing to go.

Sin is not an endowment; it is a spirit. Sin is infectious; Be released from the power of any sin today in Jesus’ name. Live above sin!

1 John 3:9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

God knows the way of the righteous.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

The Christian life is a walk with God. It is a spiritual journey. In this walk God does not only know your name. He also knows your way.

He is familiar with what you are doing. You are not left alone. GOD knowing your ways means he is committed to establishing what you are doing.

No wonder the Bible says, commit your ways to the Lord and he shall direct your path. Carefully choose your engagements so as to connect to the blessings of God.

Hold on to the way of righteousness and never compromise on your virtues as a child of God for at the end God shall glorify himself in you.

Psalms 1:6 reads “For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish”. The best way is the Lord’s way.
Read: Psalms 1 :1-6

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace to always walk in the path of righteous.

Miracles through tithing.

Malachi 3:10
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Tithing is the best kept secret to prosperity. It is simply giving back to God a ten percent of all your increase.

Tithing demonstrates your faith in God. Abraham, the first man to give tithe did so by faith. He blessed the Lord who gave him victory over his enemies and gave him “tithes of all”. (Genesis 14:18-20).

Those who refuse to tithe rob themselves of God’s blessings. Genesis 8:22 says seedtime and harvest shall not cease so long as the earth remains. Also, what you sow is what you get.

Be a committed Christian who will tithe, give good offerings and help financially the work of God, and God will make all grace abound to you.

Never get annoyed when money matters are raised in church. It is rather an opportunity to get BLESSED.

Luke 6:38
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace to be strong and grounded when it come to giving and giving to support your house.

Pass God’s Test

Jeremiah 17:10
I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Living to meet God’s standard lies greatly in passing his test. God only promotes those he has tested.

God’s test comes in several dimensions so as to weigh our loyalty and trust. You must understand that until you are tried on every side you will never be trusted in many matters.

Jesus said “my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Meaning that, God’s test is bearable. Never be discouraged and say God’s test is heavy than I can carry.

God provides us with enough grace to pass his test. Remember that, God will always weigh our actions and test us in the area of loyalty, humility, patience and love.

Remember how Abraham passed God’s test on love and reverence. He was ready to do the Lord’s instruction no matter the cost associated with it (Genesis 22:1-14). The test of God is a stairway to the top. Pass the test on love, pass the test on humility, pass the test on sacrifice, pass the test on purity and all other test that may come your way.

Deuteronomy 8:2
“And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.”

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace to steadfastly and without wavering pass every test you bring my way. Amen

You are a victor

1 John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

You are born again to be a victor. As a Christian, your life is programmed for success. The new nature you carry is “defeat proof”.

You are born of God with the force of victory deposited within. God has empowered you to win every battle you face.

Nonetheless, what fuels your victory is your faith. Faith in the Word, will position you to become a champion. Your victory is word – driven, and is over all the power of the enemy.

This is your privilege in Christ. You are called to walk through the shadows of death and still emerge a winner.

Take advantage of the life of victory within. Believe that you are a winner and a VICTOR!. The unchangeable God has made you undefeatable.

Romans 8:37
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Prayer: Lord, I thank you for the power you have deposited in me to emerge a victor in every situation.

Get ready for the best

Romans 8:18
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Don’t be troubled in life, the best of God’s provision is already yours. He has you in mind and He will give to you the desires of your heart.

The mind of God is geared towards bringing you to an expected end. Don’t be carried away by the troubles of today. Just look unto God.

Though weeping may endure to the night, JOY will come in the morning. Be sure of God’s word concerning your life. That is all that you need.

The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. Whatever that has been bordering your mind was dealt with on the cross.

Nothing is too late with God. He is working things together for your good. Expect the goodness of God today and stay connected.

Hebrews 12:2
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Prayer: I pray that I will not miss the Lord’s best at the end of the age.
