God is the only true comfort of the believer, and this is why you must learn to rejoice in him. David, the Shepherd boy who became king knew this truth. That was why his life was full of praise, thanksgiving and joy.
In Psalm 103, he praised and said, bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.
You see, in the natural, people only rejoice when everything fall in order for them. That is when you hear all the songs of joy and praise being sounded.
But the Bible is admonishing us to rejoice in the Lord irrespective of our circumstances and situations we are going through in life.
Sometimes the storms of life may try to wither your joy, steal your praise and shut you up, but never succumb to the position.
As a believer, your joy should not be dependent on material things or situations you are facing, but rather the blessed assurance of the Lord.
Psalm 103:1-2
Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits
Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace to always look up to you as the source of my joy.
