Return of the unclean spirit

Matthew 12:43-44
“Now when the unclean spirit has gone out of a man, it roams through waterless (dry, arid) places in search of rest, but it does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when it arrives, it finds the place unoccupied, swept, and put in order”
The presence of unclean spirits or demons in the world is a real situation.
Unclean spirits or demons are agents of satan. Their duty is to either posses or influence a person to do things contrary to God’s word and to ultimately destroy the person.

Ephesians 2:1-2 says “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience”. Thus being born again breaks and delivers you from any demonic possession or influence.

But bing delivered from unclean spirits or demons does not mean that these spirits will retreat from their mission against your life. Therefore when delivered, either from possession or from the influence of demons demands that you stay delivered. That is to say, never allow yourself to be influenced or repossessed again.

Matthew 12: 44 reveals that, Christians who are “empty” of the word of God shall fall prey in the event of the return of the unclean spirits that once left.
Guard yourself against demons and unclean spirits by being prayerful, and being deeply rooted in God.

“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving”

Hold fast the confession of your faith

Hebrews 10:23 says “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)”
From beginning to the end, the Christian life is anchored on faith. It is this truth that can make you reign in this trouble bound world.

If you want to walk in the victories that Christ has accomplished for you, you have to learn to hold fast the confession of your faith without wavering. You see, you must believe beyond any shadow of doubt the things that God has promised and done for you in Christ.

As a Christian you must not walk and talk like an unbeliever (someone who does not have a personal relationship with God the father). You see, the people of this world may use the news and the happenings of life to decide their fate, but that’s not your portion as a Christian.

You must know that, your wealth, health, and success is dependent on God and not on any man. It is God that has promised us as Christians and He is faithful to fulfill it.
So in the face of any challenge, confess the word. Tell yourself that, “God who has promised is faithful”.

Never let, any news topple your faith. Believe and speak the word at all times for there shall be a manifestation.

Read: Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it ? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”

Forgiveness

Forgiving people is not an option but a commandment that we must obey. Colossians 3:13 says “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you”

Every born again believer is a product of forgiveness. Thus forgiving people is just given back what you have received from the Lord.

Although many people refuse to walk in forgiveness dare to be different. Luke 17:3-4 says “…if your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents forgive him. If he sins against you seven times in day, and seven comes back to you and says I repent forgive him.. “. You have a duty to forgive no matter what people do to you.

It is nothing but disobedience to God when you don’t forgive people. Also remember that, harbouring pain, hurts and keeping offense will do you no good.
Forgive people and move on.

Read : Luke 23:34 “Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots..”

His grace is sufficient

“but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough-always available-regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me” (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Grace is a divine virtue imparted or released upon a Christian to enable him accomplish his assignment on earth. This grace is actually not worked for, or is an “undeserved favour”.

In fulfilling your mandate as a Christian, is not without challenges or troubles. You will go through challenges that may pose a threat to your life and vision, but in the midst of all these God’s word says that “there is sufficient grace”. This is an assurance that you must hold on to.

In fact, what you are today, and what you will become tomorrow, is a matter of grace. See 1 Corinthians 15:10 “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect…”

When you think you are at your wits’ end, and all hope is lost, remember that, GRACE IS SUFFICIENT. This grace will see you through and bring you to your glorious end. Don’t give up because you have GRACE.

No wonder the song writer said of this grace that it is “amazing”. Yes, “amazing grace”.

God is not holding your sins against you

Hebrews 10:17 says “AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS ACTS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE [no longer holding their sins against them].”
To be born again and still live with the guilt of your sins is nothing but a display of ignorance.
You see, you don’t have to be born again and still live in condemnation. Romans 8:1 says “Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior]”.

You see, God does not hold your sins against you as a Christian. Rather in Christ he has offered us the opportunity to become a new creation not counting our trespasses against us.

Thinking that God is holding your sins against you will cripple your faith and not help you build a better relationship with Him.
Approach God with confidence and never come to Him burdened with the sins He has already forgiven.
Remember that He has made you righteous, holy and above all blessed you.

Read: 1 Corinthians 1:30 “But it is from Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God [revealing His plan of salvation], and righteousness [making us acceptable to God], and sanctification [making us holy and setting us apart for God], and redemption [providing our ransom from the penalty for sin]”

HE HIMSELF TOOK OUR INFIRMITIES AND CARRIED AWAY OUR DISEASES

This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet: “HE HIMSELF TOOK OUR INFIRMITIES AND CARRIED AWAY OUR DISEASES” (Mathew 8:17).
“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:4-5).
God’s word on sickness and diseases is certain. The Bible says “He took our infirmities and carried away our sickness”. Meaning that, you don’t have to remain sick as a child of God. Sickness and diseases is a done deal when you are in Christ, this is because Jesus took it upon himself.

You see, your healing and health has been provided for in Christ. This is why you must not remain with the thought that God wants you sick or God can’t do anything about your physical condition. The healing and the health of the believer was accomplished by Christ on the cross. God is not going to heal you now, because he has already healed you. All you have to do is to claim it by faith and make it yours.
If Jesus by his death and resurrection took away sickness and diseases, then he will not put it on you for any reason.

Remember that what Jesus bore, suffered and took away shouldn’t be available again for you. For instance, if I walk to your home and made away with your possessions, it will no longer be at your custody. This is what the Bible means by Jesus taking away our sickness and diseases.
That is also to mean that any attack on people’s health is not coming from God but the devil who want to keep them in bondage.

DISCIPLINE,YOUR CODE TO SUCCESS

No one can actually succeed without discipline. Because without discipline your life will just move in circles. Success in life requires a lot of discipline;discipline to continue till you reach the end of your pursuit and also discipline to maintain standard or high quality for whatever you are doing over months and years.

Anytime we talk about discipline, we are referring to training your mind and body to maintain a positive composure in every situation or any circumstance you may face in life.
Folks who are disciplined, keep the objective for their mission and stick to it throughout the changing scenes of life.

You see, it is only by discipline that one can be hardworking and committed to a certain course of action. Remember,in all that you do,starting well and finishing well requires discipline and this pertains to every area of your life. It includes your walk with God, your study life, your relationship and marriage, your career and your ministry.

Most people are just barely getting along in life in many things because they lack the discipline to keep to standards and quality or better still show excellence in what they do.

One GREAT FEATURE of discipline, that brings excellence is that it gives you *BOUNDARIES* and puts *POSITIVE LIMITS* on your life. When discipline becomes your hall mark, you pay attention to what you do and don’t do. Discipline gives you *INVISIBLE* but *NOTICEABLE* walls. Invisible because you can’t touch or physically handle it, and noticeable because it’s effect or results can be seen.

Remember discipline is what makes any vision achievable and any mountain scalable.
Don’t settle for less, be disciplined enough to make success possible in whatever God has endowed you with.

Read: Hebrews 12:11 “For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.”

WALK BY THE SPIRIT

“So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16)
The Amplified Bible puts it this way “but I say, walk habitually in the Spirit [seek Him and be responsive to His guidance], and then you will certainly not carry out the desire of the [g]sinful nature [which responds impulsively without regard for God and His precepts”.

The truth the verse above is revealing is simple. It is talking about walking by the recreated human spirit. The recreated human spirit is the new man. It is the “you”in you. That is the real man on the inside. You are not just a body. The real you is a spirit. That is what has been made alive or quickened by God when you received Jesus as your Lord and personal savior. See Ephesians 2: 1 “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins”.

So you see, walking by the spirit as the word says refers to walking by the recreated human spirit, walking by new man on the inside, walking by the quickened man on the inside or walking by your spirit that is now in sync with the spirit of God.

Your recreated human spirit is perfect. It knows and understands the will of God. Thus living by it will always cause you to walk in the perfect will of God.

There is nothing like bitterness, anger, pride, fornication, adultery, covetousness and the like in your born again spirit. As a matter of fact, no born again Christian will ever be at ease with sin. With your recreated human spirit in place, your conscience, or the voice of your inner man won’t free you when you get into sinning.

Walking by the spirit will cause you to be on track for the Lord. Be more concerned to live by the spirit. Turning to the flesh or the promptings of the flesh will cause you to stagger in the faith and also hinder your growth in the Lord.

Read: Galatians 5:25 “If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit”.

TAKE HEED, WE ARE IN THE LAST DAYS

In describing the events that will characterize the last days, the Apostle Paul wrote “But know this, that in the last days [a]perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, [b]unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” 2 Timothy 3:1-5.

Our generation today is no different from this vivid description. This is to tell you that we are living in an era where prophecies about the end time has been fully manifested.

It is therefore important for the believer to stand out in these odd times. Not only that, but to also turn away from all those who are unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God.
*Remember that, this last days marks the period that precedes the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.*

These are the days when evil and sin will grow. People shall be vile and perverse. Also the perilous times and the challenges, will cause many to drift from the faith.
Lack of knowledge in these times can cause you to fail the test of time and miss Heaven at the end.

Remain vigilant, sober and watchful during these days. Remember that, the devil will enforce his schemes to capture those who are weak and have wavering faith. Despite the deception and the ungodliness that shall fill the earth, be ready to live for Christ and lift up his banner despite all challenges.

Be led by the Spirit to discern good and bad. Also pray for the Lord to open your eyes of understanding and give you the spirit of revelation. It will make you a triumphant person in the face of all these troubles.

THE WORD OF GOD IS FOR YOUR BENEFIT

2 Timothy 3:16-17
“All scripture is given by the inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction and for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect thoroughly furnished unto all good works”.

The written word is basically for our benefit. It is to help us in our walk with God and also teach us the way to be blessed.
Romans 15:4 says “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope”.

God’s word is for our learning. You must be full of the word if you want to excel in this life. You see, learning God’s word will inspire hope in you. From the word, you will know that your future as a Child of God is bright. This will let you move on even when you are faced with challenges.

The believer who does not make God’s word supreme in his or her life will be hindered by many things in this world. *Learn God’s word daily*. *Learn it and apply it*
Never substitute the opinions of men for the word of God. Know that God’s word without fail will bring you into a glorious destination but the opinions of men will not.

God’s word is for your benefit or profit always. Don’t see it in any other way. Remember, anytime you find yourself reading the *WORD* know that you are bringing *PROFIT* into your life.
