EMBRACE GODLY COUNSEL.

Proverbs 15:22
“Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.”

One of the greatest gifts God gives us on the path of life is wise counsel. No one was created to walk the journey of life alone. Whether you are making small decisions or pursuing major purpose, counsel is essential. It brings clarity where there is confusion and provides direction where there is uncertainty.

Many dreams fail not because they were wrong, but because they were pursued without guidance. Scripture makes it clear that plans without counsel often end in frustration. But when counsel is sought and received, purpose becomes established and fruitful.

You see, a wise person listens. They are open to learn. They do not rely solely on their own opinions or feelings. Wisdom teaches us that we do not know it all, and we were never meant to. God often packages answers, warnings, and breakthroughs within the voices of others. The proud heart resists counsel, but the humble heart receives it and grows. see Proverbs 1:5 “A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels.”

Nonetheless, counsel does not come uninvited. It must be sought. You must be intentional about asking, listening, and learning. There are people God has positioned in your life who carry the insight you need. Sometimes it takes a question, a conversation, or a quiet moment of humility to unlock the counsel that changes everything.

Do not be quick to trust your emotions or make decisions in isolation. Feelings can be loud, but they are not always right. The counsel of the godly acts as a compass, keeping you from unseen dangers and guiding you toward God’s best.

Choose the path of the wise. Seek counsel. Cherish it. Walk in the light of it. Let your life be shaped not just by desire but by discernment.

Read: Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”

Prayer Lord, give me a heart that seeks, honors, and walks in wise counsel so I may fulfill Your purpose for my life.

SEE BEYOND THE TRIALS.

Romans 8:18
“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

Life on earth often comes with trials, and challenges that can get you overwhelmed . But these should never cause you to lose sight of the glory and purpose that lie ahead. Difficult times are not meant to shipwreck your faith as a Christian, rather they are meant to deepen your trust and strengthen your walk with God. His promises remain sure, and His faithfulness endures.

Hebrews 12:2 says, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame…”

You see, Jesus is our perfect example when it comes to handling difficulties. He faced unimaginable suffering, yet He did not focus solely on the pain of the cross. He looked beyond it. He saw the joy, the victory, and the redemption that would follow. And so He endured.

You must do the same. Do not fix your eyes only on the trials. Look beyond them. See what God can do. Remember, the God you serve calls things that do not exist as though they do. There is absolutely nothing impossible for Him.

Those who keep their eyes fixed only on their problems rarely make progress. But those who look to God in the midst of adversity always find strength, direction, and victory. Do not be discouraged by negative reports or present difficulties. Lift your eyes and fix them on the Lord.

Your challenges are temporary, but your victory will be lasting. If you hold on in faith, the very trials that confront you today will one day become a testimony of triumph. Look up. Stand firm. Keep moving forward with your eyes on Jesus.

Read: 2 Corinthians 4:17 reminds us, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.”

Prayer: Lord, help me to look beyond the trials i face to keep my gave on You and the joy You have set before me. Amen

DON’T LET YOUR LOVE GROW COLD.

Matthew 24:12-13 says
“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

Jesus warned that as wickedness increases in the world, many people’s love will grow cold. This love refers not only to love for one another but also to love for God. Sin has a way of choking out love. It is contrary to the very nature of love and can never produce it. When iniquity abounds, love diminishes.

This is exactly what we see happening in our time. The pressures of life, the rise of evil, and the distractions of the world are all contributing to a loss of spiritual warmth and affection. But as believers, we must not let this happen to us. We must guard our hearts and refuse to allow the condition of the world to shape the condition of our love. Do not let sin drain the passion out of your relationship with God. Instead, make it your daily goal to grow deeper and stronger in love.

Your love for God must remain alive and glowing. It should not be based on circumstances or convenience. Even in the face of trials, rejection, persecution, or spiritual fatigue, choose to keep your heart tender before the Lord. Show your love for God by spending quality time with Him and prioritizing the things that matter to His heart. You cannot truly love God and remain distant or unconcerned about His presence and His Kingdom.

The Bible clearly teaches that the world will not improve morally. Evil will continue to increase until the return of Christ. Jesus said in John 16:33
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

In a world filled with trouble, confusion, and darkness, many people are losing their grip on love. Some have become cold, bitter, and indifferent. But you must be different. Let your love prevail. Let it shine brightly even when others grow dim. Stand firm in these difficult times and do not allow the pressures of life to harden your heart or steal your love for God and for people.

As your days increase, let your love grow stronger. Let it grow in sincerity, in sacrifice, and in action. Let your life be a testimony of unshakable love rooted in Christ.

Keep yourself in the love of God.

Read: Jude 1:21 “Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”

Prayer: Lord, help me to keep my heart burning with love for You and for others, no matter what I face.

POWER IN THE WORD.

Jeremiah 1:12
Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.”

There is power in God’s word. His words are not ordinary statements or facts exchanged in conversation. They are spirit and they are life (John 6:63). No wonder Jesus Himself said, the words I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life.

To say that God’s word has power means it has the ability to work, to change circumstances, to create, and to enforce divine will. His word carries within it the capacity to perform exactly what it declares.

Never for one moment treat God’s word casually, especially when it makes a promise, gives an instruction, or sets a divine standard for living. Every line of Scripture is God’s breath on paper, full of light and power.

As a believer, be eager to study the word, meditate on it day and night, and most importantly, speak it. That is why Hebrews 13:5–6 says, for He hath said that we may boldly say. Thus, the word spoken by God must become a declaration on our lips.

Whatever your situation, whether it is sickness, lack, fear, delay, or confusion, speak the word. It heals, it prospers, it delivers, it elevates, it strengthens, and above all, it brings light into every dark situation (Psalm 107:20).

Read: Isaiah 55:10–11 “As the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth. It will not return to me empty but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”

Prayer: Lord, I thank you that your word brings life to every dark place in my life. Let your word heal, guide, and fulfill every promise you have spoken concerning me. Amen.

RENEW YOUR MIND.

Colossians 3:10
“and have put on the new [spiritual] self who is being continually renewed in true knowledge in the image of Him who created the new self.” (AMP)

When a person becomes born again, their spirit is instantly recreated in Christ. However, the mind remains the same. This unchanged mind can hinder the believer from living out the realities of their new life in Christ. That is why the renewing of the mind is not optional.

Renewing your mind means reprogramming your thoughts to agree with the Word of God. Romans 12:2 says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Your transformation begins where your thinking is changed.

Ephesians 4:23 also encourages us to “be renewed in the spirit of your mind.” This means allowing the Word of God to influence not just what you think, but how you think.

As you meditate on the Scriptures daily, your thoughts are reshaped and your mind is brought into alignment with the nature of Christ in your spirit. This process makes it possible to fully express the life of God that is within you.

A renewed mind sees as God sees, thinks as God thinks, and responds as God would respond. It equips you to handle life from a place of wisdom, faith, and victory.

Make it a daily commitment to study and meditate on the Word. Let it correct wrong mindsets, build godly convictions, and transform your life.

Read: 2 Corinthians 3:18 “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

Prayer: Lord, renew my mind by your Word and help me to reflect your glory in all I do.

THERE IS HELP IN GOD.

Hebrews 4:16
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

Beloved, there is grace to help you as a Christian. No matter how daring and difficult life’s situations may sometimes be, there’s help for you in God.

Psalm 33:20 says “Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield”. You see, anytime you are hard up in life, look up to the Lord.

No matter what comes your way, God is always ready and eager to help you. Learn to make God your first point of call.

Yes, although men sometimes can help you, put God first.
Putting your trust, hope and confidence in man can hinder your progress. Psalm 118:8 “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.”

Jeremiah 17:5 also says “Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.”

Rely on God for help. Pray and call on him for help. He can come through for you in your ministry, marriage, career, education, finances, and in fact, anything of concern to you.
God has not failed before and He won’t fail in your case.

Read: Daniel 6:27 “God helps and saves people. He does amazing miracles in heaven and on earth. He saved Daniel from the lions.” (ERV)

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for assuring me of your help in all that I go through in life. Amen!

HELP HELPS.

Luke 6:31
“And as you would like and desire that men would do to you, do exactly so to them” (AMPC)

One powerful way to attract help in life is to be a helper yourself. It may seem ironic, but this is a divine principle woven into Scripture. Help operates under the law of sowing and reaping—when you give it, you will receive it in greater measure. Luke 6:38 confirms this: “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over…”

Solomon also gives us wisdom on this: “He who shuts his ear to the cry of the poor will also cry himself and not be answered” (Proverbs 21:13). This means when you ignore others in their time of need, you unknowingly close the door to your own help.

You may not have much, but there’s always someone in need you can support. Your willingness to help others becomes the channel through which God sends you your own help. Refusing to care for others when you have the chance is to deny yourself access to divine assistance when you need it most.

There’s a story of a man who attended a healing service while battling a life-threatening illness. As he waited to be prayed for, he noticed another person in far worse condition being carried in. Moved with compassion, he began to fervently pray for the other man’s healing. Moments later, the very person he prayed for received his miracle. In that atmosphere of thanksgiving, the first man suddenly realized—his own symptoms had vanished. He was healed as well. Why? Because help begets help.

As you look up to God for help, make it your practice to be a vessel of help to others. That help you give will return to bless you in ways you never imagined. Help Helps!

Read: Psalm 121:1–2 “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.”

Prayer: Lord, make me a vessel of help to others. Let my heart always be willing to serve, give, and lift others in their time of need. And as I sow help, let Your divine help locate me. Amen.

The Sin of Pride.

Matthew 23:12
“And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.”

Pride is a silent destroyer. It promises glory but brings shame. There is nothing admirable or rewarding about living in pride. Though many lift themselves up in the hope of being recognized or respected, they often end up in disgrace and dishonour.

Jesus said it plainly: “Whoever exalts himself shall be abased.” Pride is when a person tries to lift themselves higher than God intends. It is self-promotion rooted in arrogance, and it always leads to a fall.

Many forget that true honour comes only from God. Pride tries to take honour by force, but humility receives honour from the Lord. You do not have to show off or live beyond your means to gain recognition. It is God who lifts the humble.

Pride begins in the heart. It is a mindset long before it becomes an action. That is why Proverbs 16:18 says, “Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” If pride is left unchecked, it will grow quietly and eventually bring down even the most gifted person.

As a Christian, let the Word of God fill your heart and shape your character. Watch your thoughts, your speech, and your reactions, and always make them align with humility. Humility will keep you safe and usable by God.

Read: Proverbs 29:23 says, “A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.” This is the path God blesses. Reject pride and walk in humility, and in due season, God will lift you.

Read: Proverbs 16:18 “Pride leads to destruction, and arrogance to downfall.”

Prayer: Father, I thank You for Your Word. Help me to live in true humility

GOD IS A GIVER OF GOOD THINGS.

James 1:17
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”

One truth that every believer must settle in their heart is that God is the source of all that is good and perfect. He is not only willing but ever ready to bless us with the very best. The Bible clearly says, “Every good and perfect gift is from above.” That means nothing truly good comes apart from God.

The best things in life such as salvation, healing, deliverance, protection, peace, and prosperity have their origin in Him. Deuteronomy 8:18 reminds us, “But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth…” Proverbs 10:22 also assures us that, “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”

Jesus further assures us in Luke 11:13 that if earthly fathers can give good gifts to their children, “how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him”

You see, God desires to bless you far more than you desire to be blessed. He wants to load you daily with benefits. But you must seek Him, not just what He gives. Don’t chase after things. Chase after God and all things will be added.

It is in your consistency in following after the Lord that your life becomes fruitful and filled with His perfect gifts. Be in fellowship with Him always. He is your Source.

Read: Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Prayer: Dear Father, thank You for being the Giver of every good and perfect gift.

HAVE FERVENT LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER.

1 Peter 4:8
“And above all things have fervent love for one another: for love shall cover the multitude of sins.”

In teaching the believer how to live in these end times, the Bible places love above many other virtues. In 1 Peter 4:7–8, the apostle instructs us to be sober, watchful, and prayerful, yet he adds something more—he says, “above all things, have fervent love for one another.” That means love is not just another good virtue to have. It is the highest. It is the anchor of Christian living in these last days.

Love is truly above all. 1 Corinthians 13:13 confirms this when it says, “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” You see, love always takes the lead. It outlasts and outshines everything else.

Your love for your fellow believer must be fervent. That means it must be sincere, deep, and unwavering. Pretending to love is not what God expects. Love must be real. You do not love with your words only; it must show in your actions and your attitude.

You see, true love flows from your recreated spirit, not just your emotions. When love comes from your spirit, your words will match your heart, and your actions will reflect your convictions.

When we walk in love, we are able to deal with people’s weaknesses without tearing them down or exposing them in a harmful way. We restore instead of condemn. Galatians 6:1 says, “If a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.” This is what love does—it builds, it heals, it protects.

So, as we live in these last days, let your love be real. Let it be strong. Let it be consistent. Let others see Christ through the way you love.

Read: John 13:35 – “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”

Prayer: Lord, help me to walk in sincere and fervent love. Let my love come from the heart and reflect Your nature. Amen.
