OPEN CONFESSION.

Matthew 10:32
“Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.”

The Christian life is not meant to be hidden or silent. Rather, your life must be a testimony for the world to see. Your faith should speak loudly through both your words and your actions. There is no such thing as secret Christianity.

Jesus emphasized this truth when He said: “You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14–16)

When Christ dwells in your heart by faith, you are called to reflect Him outwardly. Your life should openly proclaim His goodness, love, and glory, so that when people look at you, they see Christ at work. Jesus Himself was the exact image of God on earth (Hebrews 1:3), and we are called to follow His example.

This open confession is not limited to words. You see, although you must speak about your faith, it is also important to let your daily conduct echo what you believe. What flows out of your life reveals what is rooted in your heart. If Christ truly lives in you, let it show in your works, your choices, and your relationships.

Know that you were not called to be indecisive about “taking a stand for the Lord in the world”. Thus, let every part of your life be a clear and bold declaration of your faith in Christ.

Read: 1 Timothy 6:12 “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.”

Prayer: Lord, grant me boldness and grace to openly live and declare my faith wherever I go. Amen.

HONOUR GOD’S SERVANT.

Matthew 13:57
“And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, ‘A prophet is not without honour except in his own town and in his own home.’”

Being called into ministry is a divine assignment, not a human invention. Whether apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, or teacher, the honour that accompanies such a calling comes from God Himself. In our opening text, Jesus affirmed this truth: “A prophet is not without honour.”

This means you must not relate to a man of God based on public opinion, familiarity, or personal bias. Instead, you must respond according to God’s Word, acknowledging, respecting, and honouring those He has called.

The phrase “without honour” literally means to be unrecognized, undervalued, or treated as without dignity. As a believer, you must never adopt this attitude. The Bible makes it clear that honour for God’s servants comes from the One who called them (Hebrews 5:4).

Recognize men of God as custodians of Christ’s mysteries and vessels carrying divine assignments. This principle of “honour” is more crucial when you are close to a man of God or you are under their leadership because familiarity can easily set in to breed disregard. Thus, wether you have known a man of God for years or just recently, never despise or dishonour him. He may be God’s chosen agent for your blessing or deliverance.

When God delivered Israel from Egypt, He used a prophet. And on their journey to the Promised Land, He appointed another (Deuteronomy 18:17–18). Knowing a man of God is not enough; you must honour, receive, and recognize him as God’s servant to fully partake in his calling and ministry.

Read: Matthew 10:41 “Whoever receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and whoever receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward.”

Prayer: Lord, grant me the grace and wisdom to honour every servant You have called, and to receive them as Your messengers.

THE POWER OF PRAYER AND FASTING.

Ezra 8:23,31 KJV
“So we fasted and besought our God for this: and he was intreated of us. [31] Then we departed from the river of Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month, to go unto Jerusalem: and the hand of our God was upon us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy, and of such as lay in wait by the way.”

Prayer and fasting is an indispensable spiritual discipline for every believer. It is a vital aspect of our walk with God. Beyond building spiritual sensitivity and receptiveness to the Lord, it positions us to exercise our faith and experience divine interventions.

Many have failed to make meaningful progress in fasting because they treat this sacred practice casually. Fasting is not merely abstaining from food for a period of time. It must be accompanied by fervent prayer, meditation on God’s Word, worship, and moments of quietness before the Lord.

Moreover, for fasting to yield true results, it must flow from a sincere heart. One cannot expect God’s favor while living in wickedness toward others (Isaiah 58).

In our opening text, Ezra recounts how fasting and prayer secured God’s protection for him and the Israelites as they journeyed from Babylon to Jerusalem. After seeking the Lord, His mighty hand rested on them, delivering them from every danger along the way.

With God, nothing is impossible. When you align your heart in faith and obedience through prayer and fasting, you will see His glory manifest in your life.

Read: Joel 2:12 AMP “Even now,” says the LORD, “Turn and come to Me with all your heart [in genuine repentance], with fasting and weeping and mourning [until every barrier is removed and the broken fellowship is restored].”

Prayer: Lord, as I seek You in fasting and prayer, let Your mighty hand rest upon me

AUTHORITY OVER DEMONIC POWERS.

Colossians 2:10
“And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.”

Life is not limited to what we see physically; there is a spiritual realm that influences the natural. Within this realm are angels, sent by God to minister to believers, and there are also demons whose singular mission is to oppose God’s will in our lives.

Demons are not imaginary. They are real spiritual beings, wicked, destructive, and relentless. They seek to express themselves through human vessels, using people as tools to corrupt, defile, and lead others astray. Just as human beings have varying abilities and expertise, demons also vary in their operations and assignments.

Their ultimate goal is to drag people to hell, all while afflicting and troubling humanity on earth. They accomplish this by possessing unbelievers, oppressing believers, and influencing thoughts and actions daily in an attempt to pull people away from God’s will.

Yet, despite their activity, you as a believer have been given divine authority over them. You have the power to cast them out, to break every demonic influence over your life, and to forbid their operations in your home and environment (Matthew 10:8).

Do not live in ignorance, demons are real, and they work tirelessly to destroy lives. Rise up boldly, exercise your God-given authority, and never allow these forces to reduce you to nothing.

Read: Mark 16:17 “These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages.”

Prayer: Lord, thank You that in You I have authority over every demon and every assault of the enemy. Amen.

PRAYER MUST BE YOUR LIFESTYLE.

Luke 18:1
“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint”

Prayer is the lifeline of every child of God. It is how we fellowship with the Father, receive strength for life, and engage in spiritual warfare. But for prayer to produce lasting results, it must be consistent. As Romans 12:12 admonishes, “Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.”

Prayer is not a weekly event or something reserved only for church services. It is not a tool to be pulled out only in emergencies. Prayer must be your first response, not your final option. Build a lifestyle where prayer flows naturally, in every circumstance.

Look at Jesus, our perfect example. “And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed” (Mark 1:35). If He, the Son of God, prioritized consistent prayer, how much more should we?

This is not about spending long hours in formal sessions every single time. It’s about cultivating an attitude of unbroken fellowship with God, short prayers, whispered thanks, earnest petitions, and deliberate time set apart for communion. Let prayer anchor your day and guide your decisions.

Many believers struggle because they treat prayer as a last resort instead of a daily habit. But to succeed in every endeavor, prayer must be part of your everyday rhythm, morning, noon, and night, until it becomes part of you.

Read: 1 Thessalonians 5:17 “Pray without ceasing.”

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace to be consistent in my prayer life. Amen

WISDOM FROM ABOVE.

James 3:17
“But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.”

Wisdom is vital for the success of every believer. Scripture calls it “the principal thing.” Proverbs 4:7 says, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” But as Christians, it is not just any kind of wisdom we must live by; it must be the wisdom that comes from above.

True wisdom influences your choices, your timing, and even your motives. It enables you to do the right thing at the right time and for the right reason. Many define wisdom simply as the right application of knowledge, but the Bible shows us that wisdom is far deeper.

Our opening scripture highlights the qualities of godly wisdom: purity, peace loving, thoughtfulness, submission, mercy, good fruit, impartiality, and sincerity. Your decisions and actions should consistently reflect these virtues. When they do, you are living by the wisdom of God.

Wisdom is never abstract. It produces visible works. You cannot claim to have wisdom and remain idle. While wisdom certainly involves knowledge, it is only proven when you act on the truth you know and produce results that glorify God.

In your family, your church, your workplace, and your community, pursue actions that build people up, strengthen systems, promote peace, and encourage stability. Godly wisdom always edifies, while ungodly wisdom leads to confusion, strife, and disarray.

Let your life be a clear expression of wisdom from above.

Read: Mark 6:2 “And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?”

Prayer: Lord, give me grace to walk daily in the wisdom from above and let my life show it in all I do.

LIVE FOR CHRIST WITHOUT RESERVATION.

Luke 9:24
“For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.”

Serving God is not something you add to your schedule; it is the very reason you exist. True service to God is not limited to giving your money, talents, or possessions. It demands your entire life.

Far too many believers shy away when service to God calls for sacrifice. They are willing to follow Christ only when it is convenient, but draw back when obedience threatens their comfort, reputation, or safety. This is not service; it is self preservation disguised as devotion.

Consider the story of a young man zealously preaching Christ. His father warned him to tone down his passion, fearing that such boldness could cost him his life. The son answered, “I am only doing what Jesus commanded. I am serving Him with my life.” Angered, the father retorted, “That is exactly why He died so young at thirty three!” This fear is common today. Many believers are imprisoned not by chains but by the terror of death, unwilling to fully obey Christ if it might cost them dearly.

You see, the fear of death robs you of true life. It keeps you from fulfilling your calling and blinds you to God’s best. Those who live cautiously never live completely; those who cling to their own lives end up losing what matters most.

Christ calls you to live boldly, holding nothing back. The times we are in demand uncompromising faith, courageous obedience, and willingness to risk it all for Jesus. Stop measuring your sacrifices as though they could ever compare to His. He gave everything for you; will you not give everything for Him?

Read: 1 Corinthians 15:58 “Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord, being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is never futile or wasted.”

Prayer: Father, thank You for calling me to serve You with my whole life. Remove every trace of fear and hesitation. Help me to live courageously, unreservedly, and sacrificially for Christ.

INVEST IN BUILDING A SOUND CHARACTER.

Ecclesiastes 11:1
“Cast your bread on the surface of the waters, [be diligently active, make thoughtful decisions], for you will find it after many days.”

Just as sowing seeds today ensures a harvest tomorrow, investing in your character now guarantees fruitfulness in your future. The scripture calls for diligence and intentionality and this principle applies not only to finances or career but even more to your personal character.

To stand out as a child of God, you must build a solid character. Character is like the foundation of a house: if it is weak, the entire structure will collapse, no matter how beautiful the design. Many people assume that talent, opportunity, or prayer alone will carry them far, but without a sound character, these advantages eventually crumble.

This investment requires discipline. You must consciously shape yourself according to God’s Word, set boundaries against ungodly habits, and embrace principles that edify rather than erode your life. Refuse to live casually; casual living produces casualties.

Understand this: the greatest destroyer of destinies is not the devil, it is a flawed character left unchecked. What you fail to correct today can humiliate you tomorrow. Nothing threatens your future more than an uncontrolled attitude or an undisciplined life.

Character is not built in a day; it is built daily. It grows by consistent meditation on God’s Word and by practicing it until it becomes part of you. Surround yourself with godly mentors and mature believers who will guide you and hold you accountable. Remember, delays in character formation are dangerous; every day wasted is ground lost.

Fill your heart with God’s Word; let it build you from within. The stronger your inner life, the greater your capacity to handle success without self-destruction.

Read:1 Samuel 18:14 “And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the LORD was with him.”

Prayer: Lord, help me to invest daily in building a godly character. Amen

CALL ON GOD.

Jeremiah 33:3
“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”

It is important to learn to call on God as a Christian. This can be in both good and bad times. It can be moments of despair or moments of joy. Whatever the situation, make God your first point of call. It may be to call on Him to thank Him or to call on Him for help, direction or guidance.

As humans, it is easy to get into the natural by calling on people when things go haywire in our lives. But we can get little from that since man’s strength is limited.

In your Christian journey, make calling on God your first priority. He is your ever present help in times of difficulties (Psalm 46).

You see, who you call on in times of distress is key for your success or failure. Never respond to life’s challenges by calling on the wrong people or using the wrong medium.

In all situations, trust in God’s deliverance. Trust Him to bring an answer. Know that your response to the issues in life determines the results you shall have.

Always call on God. Call on Him through prayer and fasting, worship and praise and He will come through for you. He always has your back.

Read: Psalm 118:5 “I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me and set me in a large place.”

Prayer: Lord, come through for me in my family, finances, health and my career. Let me see your goodness this season. Amen

GOD WILL DO IT FOR YOU.

Luke 1:37
“For with God nothing shall be impossible.”

As human beings, we measure situations by our strength and resources. We call some things easy, some hard, and others impossible. But with God, there is no such classification. He can do all things, and nothing is too difficult for Him.

As a Christian, this truth must settle in your heart: God is able to do all things. When you know this, anxiety loses its grip, and hope springs alive again.

No matter what happens in whether in your finances, health, relationships, marriage, career, or ministry, etc., God can make all things work together for your good. He can raise the dead, heal every disease, shine light in the darkest place, and even turn around economic and financial situations in a moment.

Jeremiah 32:17 says, “Ah Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.” So never give up. Do not turn to idols, ungodly shortcuts, or evil schemes to make life work. Instead, hold firmly to God’s promises. Like Mary, pray and declare, “Be it unto me according to Your word” (Luke 1:38), and you will surely see His glory.

Refuse to fear. Refuse to doubt. God will do it for you!

Read: Jeremiah 32:27 “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for Me?”

Prayer: Thank You Lord for making the impossible possible in my life. Thank You for the miracles and breakthroughs that begin to manifest from today. Amen.
