YOUR HARVEST REFLECTS YOUR SEED.

Galatians 6:7-8
“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life”

Life operates on principles—spiritual laws that govern outcomes. A principle is simply a truth that explains how things work or why they turn out the way they do. These aren’t optional. They apply to everyone, everywhere, and are clearly outlined in God’s Word.

One unchanging spiritual law is the principle of sowing and reaping. When Paul wrote to the Galatians, he made it clear: “Do not be deceived, God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” (Galatians 6:7). In other words, you can’t plant one thing and expect something entirely different to grow.

You see, it is wishful thinking to sow bitterness, compromise, or laziness and expect to reap peace, favour, or success. Likewise, if you’ve been sowing good seeds like faith, love, and integrity, don’t lose heart. In due season, the fruit will show.

Know that people might not see the seeds you’re planting in the quiet moments of your life, but they will see the results, which is the harvest. And that harvest will reveal the kind of seeds you sowed. Jesus said in Matthew 7:16–17, “You will know them by their fruits. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.”

If you want to see and have a life marked by purpose and blessing, plant seeds that align with that vision. Always learn to live with values of the faith that is, love, kindness, forgiveness, purity, and discipline. Also, invest in your growth through learning, prayer, wise counsel, and obedience. Remember that these things don’t just disappear into the air—they form the life you live tomorrow.

Don’t underestimate any decision you make today. Every thought, word, and action is a seed. What you plant today has consequences not just for this life, but for eternity.

Read: 2 Corinthians 9:6 — “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”

Prayer:
Lord, give me the wisdom and grace to plant seeds that bring life, peace, and eternal reward.

PLANS AND PURSUIT.

Philippians 3:13-14
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Plans and pursuit must go hand in hand.
Pursuit brings your plan into reality.
When you plan and do nothing, nothing will happen.

Thinking about a great idea or imagining the best outcomes for your life is important but not final. It is your ability to do something about the future you picture that makes you an achiever.

You need to pursue the plan. That is, strive towards achieving it. Stay focused and be ready to make use of every opportunity for your advantage. Never postpone to tomorrow what you can do today.
Above all, pray. It will empower you to do exploits without burnouts.

You see, until you get practical towards making every God given plan a reality, it will remain a mirage.

Read: Philippians 4:13 “I can do all this through him who gives me strength”

Prayer: Lord I pray for wisdom to plan and grace to pursue it diligently until it becomes a reality.

DENY YOURSELF.

Matthew 16:24
“Then Jesus said to his followers, ‘If people want to follow me, they must give up the things they want. They must be willing even to give up their lives to follow me.’”

Being a Christian calls for self-denial. No one can effectively follow the Lord without giving up personal desires, especially those driven by self-interest. As a Christian, you must seek the Lord first and prioritize your relationship with Him above all else.

Self-denial means surrendering your own desires and pleasures to follow Christ. It requires sacrificing comfort and convenience to serve God. Following Jesus demands absolute focus, loyalty, and commitment—there is no costless Christianity.

Jesus said, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me” (Luke 9:23). Self-denial is not easy, but it is necessary for those who truly desire to follow Christ. However, denying yourself does not mean living irresponsibly under the guise of giving up things for the Lord. Rather, true self-denial means not being driven by selfish desires and acting in all things with an awareness of your relationship with God.

At times, we may become selfishly driven in the pursuit of family goals, wealth, and personal ambitions. However, we must learn from the disciples of old, who balanced these interests with their calling to follow the Lord. Though it required sacrifice, it was worth it because of the eternal rewards (Luke 18:28-30).

Do not be self-centered. Be zealous in following God’s call and place His plans above your own. The rewards of following Him are eternal, and nothing in this life can compare to what He has in store for you.

Read: Luke 9:23 – “If anyone wants to be my disciple, they must deny themselves, take up their cross daily, and follow me.”

Prayer: Lord I pray for grace to deny myself daily as I follow your will and way for my life.

YOU CAN OVERCOME TEMPTATION.

1 Corinthians 10:13
“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

The journey of the Christian is filled with temptations. That notwithstanding, you can still make headway and reach your glorious destination in the Lord, because God will always help you to escape or overcome the temptations that may come your way.

You see, temptation by itself is not a sin. It is something that lures you, and when you yield to it, the result or outcome is sin. Temptation may then be a gateway into sin or deviation from the will of God.

The danger with temptation is that it comes to pull you away from God’s will. It will always appear disguised. James 1:13 makes it clear that God does not tempt anyone, and He cannot be tempted. Therefore, temptation has nothing to do with God—it is the devil’s tool to derail your faith.

As you journey with the Lord, the enemy will continue to tempt you. It can be in the area of money, immorality, pride, etc., but your responsibility is to overcome every temptation. No temptation is greater than your ability to resist it. The key to overcoming temptation is the Word of God. The Word exposes the devil’s schemes and empowers you to stand firm. Jesus overcame every temptation with the Word. Your response to temptation should always be, “It is written…” (Matthew 4:4, 7).

Be grounded in the Word and continue effectively with your prayer life, and no temptation will be difficult to overcome or escape.

Read: Matthew 26:41
“Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!” (NLT)

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace to always overcome every temptation by applying the word.

ROOTED, BUILT AND ESTABLISH.

Colossians 2:7-8
“Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ”.

For you to thrive as a Christian, you must go through these faces in your walk with God- being rooted, being built and being established.

The root of every thing points to its source. It also offers support and supply of required nutrients for growth. So the bible enjoining Christians to be rooted means that we must have a firm grip to our source which is Christ to derive daily support and life.

Anyone who is rooted in Christ has a deep persuasion or conviction in the things of the Lord. Not only that, they show stability. They don’t stay in the faith today and move out the next day.

The next factor that will also cause you to thrive as a Christian is when you are built up. This shows growth. Meaning that, as a Christian, you have to allow the life from the Lord and his message gain control over you. This level in the faith also points to the fact that you have a transformed life. Your union with Christ is easily noticed, just as it is simple to notice a type of tree than to see the root.

Finally, getting established in the faith, reveals maturity. At this level, you are able to maintain your relationship with the Lord and also be a blessing to others. Being established also talks about your influence. God’s glory on your life, at this stage is so evident that it will bring others into the Christendom.

Let it be a desire and a decision to climb up in your walk with God. It will safeguard you against backsliding and also make you a blessing to others.

Read: 2 Peter 3:18 “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.”

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace to go through this process of being rooted, built and established in my walk with God.

TRUST IN GOD’S WORD.

Luke 8:22-25
“Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth. But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.”

Your life changes when you choose to stand on God’s word. Every time you rely on His word, you begin to see things from His perspective.

In our opening scripture, Jesus told His disciples to cross over to the other side. But on their way, a storm hit, and in fear, they woke Him up. Instead of panicking, Jesus asked them, “Where is your faith?”

Jesus wanted them to trust in the word He had already spoken—“Let us go over to the other side.” That was all they needed to hold on to. To Him, the storm was powerless because His word had already settled their destination.

No matter what is happening in your life, refuse to be shaken. Don’t let fear or doubt take over. Hold on to God’s promises. Build your life on His word, not on human opinions, feelings, or circumstances.

A songwriter once said, “’Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus and to take Him at His word.” That’s what faith looks like—trusting God no matter what.

Believe His word that says He is your provider. Believe His word that says He is your healer. Believe His word that says He is your protector and deliverer. No matter what comes your way, His word will never fail. Stand firm, because everything else is sinking sand.

Read: Joshua 1:8-9
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

Prayer: Lord, I put my full trust in You. No storm, no fear, and no challenge will shake my faith. Amen!

YOUR CHARACTER IS YOUR TRUE POWER.

Proverbs 22:1
“A good name [earned by honorable behavior, godly wisdom, moral courage, and personal integrity] is more desirable than great riches; And favor is better than silver and gold.”

An honorable character is the foundation of true success. Without it, no achievement can stand the test of time. Talent, intelligence, and hard work may open doors for you, but only character will keep those doors open.

Character is not just about reputation; it is about who you truly are when no one is watching. A life built on integrity, kindness, patience, and truthfulness is a life destined for greatness. These virtues are not just noble ideals—they are the pillars of an honorable and impactful life.

The truth is, you can master many skills, attain wealth, and gain influence, but if you lack an honorable character, all of it will eventually collapse. A person without integrity is like a beautifully decorated house built on sand—it may look impressive for a while, but when the storms of life come, it crumbles.

A weak or corrupt character is dangerous. It damages relationships, ruins opportunities, and can destroy everything you have worked hard to build. Every day presents an opportunity to refine and strengthen your character. Make it a priority, because the consequences of a dishonorable character are unbearable.

A bad character has the power to ruin marriages. It can break relationships, tear families apart, bring confusion to ministries, and destroy careers and reputations. One author wisely said, “A bad character is like a flat tire. If you don’t change it, you’ll never go anywhere.”

Your character is your true power. It can lift you to heights you never imagined, or it can bring you crashing down. Instead of spending time chasing things that will fade away, invest in building an honorable and unquestionable character.

Examine yourself daily. Ask yourself: Am I walking in integrity? Am I treating people with kindness and truth? Is my character aligned with my destiny? True success is not just about what you accomplish, but about the kind of person you become in the process.

Read: Philippians 2:15 (AMP)
“So that you may prove yourselves to be blameless and guileless, innocent and uncontaminated, children of God without blemish in the midst of a [morally] crooked and [spiritually] perverted generation, among whom you are seen as bright lights [beacons shining out clearly] in the world [of darkness].”

PRAYER: Lord, refine my character. Let me be a person of honor, integrity, and wisdom.

STUDY TO SHOW YOURSELF APPROVED UNTO GOD.

2 Timothy 2:15
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Studying is a crucial aspect of our walk with God. You see, you can’t be a strong Christian if your mind is not filled with the truth of the Gospel. Just as your spirit must be nourished, your mind must also be renewed with the Word of God.

When you engage in study, you devote your time and attention to gaining knowledge on a specific subject. It involves careful investigation and analysis. As a Christian, studying means dedicating time to understand the principles of God’s kingdom and everything that strengthens your relationship with Him.

Without consistent and in-depth study, your walk with God will remain shallow. To present yourself to God in an honorable way, you must go deeper in studying His Word.

Many believers today rely solely on zeal, passion, and enthusiasm. However, zeal without knowledge is unsustainable. When their passion fades, they struggle to remain steadfast in their faith.

Another reason why studying is essential is to equip yourself to accurately handle and skillfully teach the Word of truth. The knowledge you have is not just for your benefit—it is meant to be shared with others.

God values Christians who are diligent in studying His Word. Don’t rush through Scripture; take time to understand it in its proper context. Remember, without study, you risk becoming ineffective over time.

Read: 2 Timothy 2:15 (AMP) – “Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.”

Prayer: Lord, I pray for grace to be studious. Amen

WHAT GOOD IS YOUR FASTING?

Isaiah 58:4-5
“What good is fasting when you keep on fighting and quarreling? This kind of fasting will never get you anywhere with me. You humble yourselves by going through the motions of penance, bowing your heads like reeds bending in the wind. You dress in burlap and cover yourselves with ashes. Is this what you call fasting? Do you really think this will please the Lord?”

Every spiritual exercise must yield benefits. However, unless one engages in them correctly and follows the principles prescribed in God’s Word, they will amount to nothing. Whether you are praying, giving, or fasting, you must apply the truth of God’s Word to your practice.

In our opening text, God teaches that those who fast should not simultaneously magnify their fleshly nature by engaging in wrongdoing such as fighting, quarreling, or focusing on outward appearances.

While fasting is directed toward God, He also expects us to treat the moment as sacred and use it as an opportunity to do good to others. In Isaiah 58, the Bible speaks of fasting as a time to free those who are wrongly oppressed, help the helpless, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless, and not turn away from those in need.

Fasting, therefore, is not only about prayer, Bible study, or reflection; it is also a time to be a vessel of honor for the Lord. During fasting, we must amplify our virtues and extend them to others.

Let your fasting stand out before God. Remember that fasting is an act of self-denial. It is a way to bring the flesh under control by prioritizing the needs of others without ulterior motives.

Fast the right way, and the Lord will not only bless you but also give you the grace to live a transformed life.

Read: Isaiah 58:1-14
Prayer: Lord, I pray for the grace to fast the right way. Amen.

LIVE COMPLETELY FOR GOD-NO HOLDING BACK.

Matthew‬ ‭10:39‬
“He that findeth his life shall lose it; and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.”

Life is full of people striving for greatness—building careers, amassing wealth, chasing influence, and leaving legacies. Many succeed in these pursuits, yet only a few truly dedicate their lives to doing something significant for God. The world celebrates achievements in business, science, and entertainment, but what about those who give everything to advance God’s kingdom? Where are the men and women who will live and die for the cause of Christ?

If you want your life to count for something beyond this world, you must be willing to surrender fully to God. Isaiah 1:19 says, “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.” God is not looking for passive believers who serve Him only when it’s convenient. He is calling for those who are ready to obey without hesitation, sacrifice without regret, and follow without turning back.

Serving God with your whole life requires self-denial. Jesus made it clear in Luke 9:23: “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” This means saying no to personal ambitions, worldly pleasures, and anything that competes with your devotion to Him. You cannot hold onto the world and still expect to walk in God’s fullness. Until you empty yourself, you cannot receive what God has in store for you.

Your love for God must be greater than your love for money, comfort, relationships, and even your own dreams. Matthew 19:29 says, “And everyone that hath left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit eternal life.” Until you love God more than anything else, you will always struggle to live fully for Him.

Now is the time to stop holding back. Give God your entire life, not just a portion of it. Surrender your plans, your desires, and your ambitions at His feet. Live completely for Him, without reservation or compromise. Those who try to save their own lives will lose them, but those who give up everything for His sake will find true life.

Read: 1 Corinthians 15:9-10 (KJV) “For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”

Prayers: Lord, I pray for grace and a heart to live completely for you.
